I used to see those Vonage commercials all day long, nonstop. I still hear that song in my head even though it's been months since I've heard that jingle!  Is Magic Jack the same as Vonage?  I heard from many people that it was extremely inconvenient because you had to share bandwidth with your high speed internet connection and sometimes the quality of the calls was inferior to traditional phone lines.  Also installation was not as easy for some people who are not tech savy or for the older generation.  Magic Jack seems to have replaced the advertisements that we used to once see for Vonage.  Are these 2 basically the same?  Has the technology improved over the predecessor?  If anyone has purchased the Magic Jack and is satisfied, or not, please post your comments here.  The Magic Jack offer seems too good to pass, but because of some of the stories I heard about Vonage, I'm a bit skeptical at this point.
