75How I found my dream job by learning how to make a CV that stands out.
When I lost my job a few years ago I had a hard time finding a new job, in fact it took me 6 months before I found a new job. If there's one thing that I've learned from this period it is that a CV is the most important thing to get right when applying for a new job. When I began looking for a new job I wrote my CV without putting in much thought and I rarely got invited.
At one point I decided my approach was not working so I purchased this book to learn more about how to do a CV. This book learned me how to make a good CV, and how to make a CV stand out among the competition.
Here are some important points that I've learned:
- When you make a CV your first step should be to decide on a job objective and have your CV reflect this objective. Leaving this out is the commonest mistake by CV writers.
- A CV should not be about your past jobs. It should be about you and how you performed in those past jobs which predicts how you might perform in a future job.
- An excellent way to improve a CV is to get rid of anything describing your past job responsibilities and replace them with on-the-job accomplishments.
- A very effective way to impress an employer and make your CV stand is to place problem-action-results statements in your CV. Meaning that you first describe the problem that existed in your workplace, then you describe what you did about it, and finally you point out the beneficial results.
- And finally the best tip: get a good book on the subject. The internet is ok for bits and pieces of information but if you want a a practical step by step method that teaches you how to make CV, a book is the way to go. I recommend the book I mentioned previously, named Resume And Cover Letter Secrets Revealed. This book will give you a definitive advantage over your competition. And it contains a lot of valuable information that you won't find on the internet.

most probably you do , to give the employer your contact details. they aswell act as your reference to confirm accuracy of the information you offered.
Well you may write a good C.V but your grammar is awful...e.g.
'this book LEARNED???me'.end qoute.
