I write simply because I love manipulating words in such a way that they illustrate or provoke thought and emotion in someone else. I cling to topics which are personal to me. Thats why I usually write those articles in places like livejournal.com or myspace.com. I have friends who can read my stories and say, "God damn Kim, another epic adventure" I sometimes use those stories within my blogging communities and I occasionally get some response.

Then there are my hobbies and interest. Photography, guitar playing, Billiards. (Have I mentioned, Im a shark on the table and I'll take any challenage thrown my way!)In addition, I enjoy hiking, music theory, new age practices, and lunatic dyke orgies! (okay, im kidding with this one)

These topics can be broken down to many aspects. For example, guitar playing. Just from that, I can relate my experience of shopping for guitars, what to look for when buying, where to shop. I can also include chords to well known songs. The list really does go on and on.

Basically what your looking to do is advertise! Maybe not to sell a product, but to sell an idea on something that you already know about. If I, as a consumer, am interested in purchasing a new ipod, then I would want to first read reviews from other consumers who have already purchased such an item. SO, i go to the good ol google.com and type in ipod. And thats where your blogging for money comes into play. You attract the consumer with your knowledge of the product, thus allowing your site to generate a lil cash flow.

I usually prepare myself somewhat when writing a new article in which I will be advertising an idea.

First, I pick my topic and research it. I gather as much information as I can. Being that Im already familiar with the topic, all I need to find are interesting facts that I can include with my article. And what better way to discover interesting facts then chat forums. I join a few and start a discussion. I recently posted a write up on guitar hero, which can be found here.

I mentioned the article within one of my chat forums where another member had emailed me with a lil tip about the game. (a tip in which shall be revealed in my next write up on the topic)

Yes, chat forums! What a wonderful place to get my mind wrapped around what it is that I will be writing about.

Then of course are the photos and videos which will accompany the article. For these, I get a lil organized on my desktop. I've created a couple folders completely dedicated to hubpages and the such. It was also through the findings of these added videos that I became a lil more inspired and informative about my topic.

Once I have my topic, the needed information, and my organized photos, Im flying high with inspiration and in no time at all, I have completed my article. Its almost as if Im on auto pilot and the words come pouring out of me. (much thanks to the preparation work I put into it)
