Is Male Fertility Test Necessary

Should you choose male fertility test? Both you and your wife can be considered infertile if your wife could not conceive after 12 months of unprotected intercourse. If you think that infertility is a woman's problem, then you are wrong. More than 50% of infertility issues involve problems with male partner. About 40% of infertility problems are because of sperm. Male infertility is the possible factor that causes failure in conception.

This is why men should be tested for fertility. The male fertility test should be performed as early as possible.

Many men may not feel the need of the male fertility tests because of embarrassment. But knowing that you have infertility issues early may save you money and time. You may waste time and money trying to get your wife pregnant without knowing where the problems lies.

The common male fertility test is a semen analysis. This test will evaluate the quality and quantity of the sperm in the semen. This is to determine the quantity of sperm that can readily swim to reach an egg. The motile sperm count per milliliter of semen will show if you are fertile or not.

You'll have to provide your sperm for examination. Sperm is collected into a specimen jar which will be given to a lab technician. The lab technician look at the sperm under a microscope to evaluate the count, shape, appearance, and mobility. Usually you'll be asked to perform two tests for confirmation.

A semen analysis can tell the doctor if you are suffering from Azoospermia, Oligiospermia, low sperm motility, and abnormal sperm morphology.

These problems may appear to cause infertility but there might be other underlying medical condition that lead to these problems. At this stage, more tests such as blood and urine will be performed to rule out other medical condition.

If you find out that you are suffering from infertility challenges after performing male fertility test, then you should check out this site for information on how to increase your sperm count and motility.

yeah, stress is a cause, it doesn't matter if your stressed or not though when you don't ovulate or your husband has a low sperm count. being stressed has nothing to do with having one ovary, or blocked tubes. maybe for you stress is a factor, but this is ONE cause (and effect) of infertility. please keep in mind some people aren't going to concieve no matter how stress free they are.

your right though, a lot of people are making there bodies toxic to the sperm/egg, and even a fertilized egg because of the hormones stress produces. i hope we can all relax and just enjoy the process
