Manny Pacquiao the Philippines world boxing champion the only Asian to have titles in three different weight classes. He is from the Bukidnon province situated in Mindanao.
Manny Pacquiao (Pacman) began to box professionaly in 1995 weighing 106 lbs which would place him at 16 years old in the Light Flyweight category.

Pacquiao increased weight and entered the Super Bantan weight category at which he won the WBC title.
Pacquiao won the IBF Super Bantanweight title against Lehlohonolo in June 23, 2001. Manny entered the the fight
as a last minute replacement and won by TKO at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada. Pacquio later defended this four times and a draw in a fight against Agapito Sanchez.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum announced WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero "is could be the next opponent" of Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao but was quick to add that "no real negotiations with anybody have started yet." (Is Arum just looking for publcity to be able to talk someone forom the Pacman camp)
