Grocery Store Coupons

With the recession in full swing, grocery store coupons have become an increasingly important part of our strategy save money and survive. It's kind of like all the new customers going to Wal-Mart, which in the past would never have entered their doors. Now a growing number of affluent people frequent Wal-Mart, as well as use grocery coupons.

There are a couple things to keep in mind when using coupons for groceries, and it'll help stretch you dollars out even more.

The first thing to keep in mind is to not just use a coupon because it's a coupon. If a store brand is less expensive after using a coupon on a regular brand, as far as savings goes, there isn't any. So don't assume a coupon is better than buying the store's brand, as you could be losing out.

Look for other deals to complement grocery coupons

Second, contact stores about using manufacturer grocery coupons with other coupons or deals. Many stores allow you to do this and you can get a lot more savings that way.

Also look for stores that may offer double coupons, or special deals on certain days of the week. Take you coupons and use them along with these deals and you can really have some good savings.

Most of us of course know enough to check for free online grocery coupons, and they're right at our fingertips, where we can print out the coupons on our computers and use them now.. You can even find some websites where you can search for any type of coupon and be able to compare shop or go to them right away.

The real trick, as you can tell from reading here, is to look for combinations of deals or special deals where you can leverage your grocery coupons far beyond simply getting the money off the coupon.

Don't forget those coupons sticking out in aisles

Finally, just look for those coupons sticking out in all the aisles and product placements. If you're going to buy the product anyhow, it's easy to just grab it. Sometimes we get so used to just passing up on them that we don't think of taking advantage in certain circumstances.

It doesn't take long to do, and a little extra effort can make your grocery dollars go a long way.
