I have to admit. I was so stoked and excited the first week Mario Badescu's Vitamin C Serum came out. It was already making good headlines in one of the issues of Glamour magazine. When it first hit the shelves in the Mario Badescu New York Spa and Salon, I heard it would take awhile to get to the Nordstrom near my house. And I being an impulse shopper did not want to wait for shipping from online ordering.

Luckily my best friend from New York was coming back down to visit her parents. Talk about good timing! Maybe I'm finally being rewarded for something I've done in my past life or maybe the stars were aligned. Yes as you may notice by now, I am an absolute skin care junkie.

Anyways I hassled her to stop by the Mario Badescu store to pick up 10 bottles of Vitamin C Serum so that me and my mother's spa customers and a few of my other girlfriends could try it out. They were all eagerly waiting to try it out as well. I also pushed my luck by asking her to pick up some of my other fave Mario products as well. Hey, might as well save on shipping right?

Since she was doing me such a favor, I owed her one, so I picked her up from the airport. The first thing she did when her ass hit the car seat was hand me the bag of goodies. I was told I looked like a Leprechaun who found a pot of gold.

Okay, so it's already been two weeks. My skin type is oily by the way. Normally I give a product a 2-3 week time frame to see if I have any visible results. If I don't I'll put it into the trash or ask for a refund and say sorry, better luck next time.

What I really like about this item is that it helps lighten your skin. It also reduces discoloration but I don't have any problems with that. Since I live in Florida I get hit with the sun all the time and my skin gets dark really easy thanks to my mother. As an Asian woman I prefer my skin to be lighter, and I really have to admit, this product performed as advertised. However it was only until the third week where I saw my skin complexion lighter. So if you're after a lighter complexion you might have to wait a bit longer for results

The instructions say just use 3-4 drops every other night, with our without moisturizer. Now you might be asking saying "Only 3-4 drops?" Trust me a little goes a long way.

Overall for my experience I give this products the thumbs up.

Out of the ten people who tested the Vitamin C Serum only 4 testers took more than 3 weeks for noticeable results and 1 had no results at all. Which is kind of strange because everything normally works well on her.

I have to say I am truly impressed by this Vitamin C Serum. Mario Badescu has finally done it again!
