HOW TO ENTERTAIN 40 PRESCHOOLERS PART II

keep your hands to yourself, do I have to move you... You are talking to much!!!!

Yikes.... So as I said in my last blog I was faced with a situation to get better at what I do or constantly remind the children on how to behave.....

I have a story time story I would like to suggest:

Billy Goats Gruff

This is so easy... I thought maaan! This entertain for a while. I needed 20 minutes to occupy these kids attention.

First get 4 kids to come to the front of the room. Assign them roles:

small billy goat

meduim billy goat

large billy goat

troll

The lines are changed but when you have 40 kids sitting there wiggling around you need to make it quick...

Place a rug in the middle oir you can use blocks...

Small Billygoat: "I am hungry I am going to cross the bridge. Trip trap"

Troll: "Who are you? I am going to eat you up"

Small Billygoat: "Don't eat me I am too small wait for my brother he is bigger"

Have the billygoat cross the carpet

Medium Billygoat: " I am hungry. I am going to cross the bridge"

Troll: Who are you? I am going to eat you up.

Medium Billygoat: "Wait for my brother he is bigger"

Troll: ok

Have the billygoat cross the carpet

Big Billygoat: "I am hungry I am crossing this bridge."

Troll: Who are you I am going to eat you up

Big Billygoat: No you are not!

Then have the big billygoat ram the troll lighly off the bridge and have the troll dramtically fall off the bridge...

The kids go bezerk when this happens and laugh crazily!!! Keep rotating kids...
