Ways to Cope with Master Cleanse Side Effects

While the master cleanse diet can be a great way to detoxify the body and lose weight, there are some unpleasant side effects that come along with taking part in the diet. Some common side effects of the diet include sores in the mouth, feeling tired or fatigued, and having body aches. There are a few tricks and tips to follow that will help lessen or relieve these side effects and make your time on the diet less stressful.

The best way to avoid sores in the mouth is to drink the lemonade mix through a straw. The lemon juice in the mix often causes people to have soreness or pain in their teeth or gums, especially if they have chronically sensitive teeth. Another way to avoid this soreness is to rinse the mouth thoroughly with water after finishing each glass of lemonade.

In response to the feelings of tiredness and fatigue, it is always best to take it easy while on any diet the limits your intake of food. This doesn’t mean you need to sit on the couch or lie in bed during the extent of the diet. That option is not healthy either. The amount of exercise or activity the body can handle will differ from person to person. While one person who is in great shape and normally very active may be able to continue jogging each day while on the diet, another may only be able to engage in simple stretching exercises or yoga. Remember to pay attention to your body. If you find yourself getting too tired, back off on some activity and allow your body to rest.

While you are on the diet, make sure that you drink lots of filtered or purified water. During the master cleanse lots of toxins and poisons are being removed from your body. It is these toxins that are often responsible for the aches and pains you feel. By drinking plenty of water, you help your body flush these materials out more quickly and easily. Drinking plenty of water will also keep you well hydrated, which may cut down on headaches.

Don’t think that by cutting back on ingredients of the master cleanse concoction you can lose more weight. According to Stanley Burroughs, founder of the master cleanse diet, the maple syrup and lemon juice provides all of the nutrients the body needs. By skimping on these ingredients, you are robbing your body of the fuel it needs to keep going. If you don’t want the side effect of fatigue and tiredness, be sure you use the full amounts of all ingredients.

Even though the master cleanse diet is a great way to lose weight and cleanse the body, there can be some unpleasant side effects. These side effects can be relieved by taking it easy on your body by engaging in only a moderate amount of exercise, drinking plenty of water and rinsing the mouth after drinking the lemonade. These tips can help your master cleanse experience be more pleasant.

HI, I HAVE JUST READ MASTER CLEANSE ARTICLE AND WOULD LOVE TO TRY IT. HOWEVER, MY PARTNER IS A DIABETIC SO WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE MAPLE SYRUP. COULD SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE IS A VERSION FOR DIABETICS OR OFFER A SUBTITUTE FOR THE MAPLE SYRUP WHICH WOULD STILL BE EFFECTIVE.

REGARDS,

SHELLEY.

The are two substitutes that I've come across on the internet for diabetic's, prediabetics and hypoglycemics, the latter being what I have. They are Agave Nectar and Molasses. I tried the maple syrup first which I always got a very bad reaction from it whenever I ate it in the past and this was no different. I lasted one morning and had to stop. Two days later I started with the Agave and what a difference! I'm on day 3 and still going. It tastes better, too. The reason for the difference is the Glycemic Index or how much it affects your blood sugar(a scale of 0-100+). The syrup has an index of about 54 where the Agave is only 27. Molasses is about a 70 so I don't know how that's OK except I tried it for 2 servings and felt fine but tasted like deisel prune juice if you can imagine that. The Agave is cheaper than syrup also, about 6.50 for a 23.5 oz bottle. (About %25 cheaper)

I am using the Agave Nectar, and I love it. The Nectar is also better in lowering the sugary carb intake:)
