Whatever happened to Maureen McCormick?

If you’re like me, the name Maureen McCormick won’t ring any bells at all. However, I’m sure you’re more than familiar with the name Marcia Brady. McCormick played Marcia Brady on the classic television show The Brady Bunch, as well as some of the movies that followed the series.
After the Brady Bunch ended, McCormick tried and tried furthering her career (she guest-starred in an episode of Happy Days), but she never again reached the status that the iconic Brady role gave her. She had bit parts in B-movies like Return to Horror High, a 1987 comedy/horror film (also starring George Clooney). She also released a Country Western album. Although it didn’t make a huge splash, it received a fair amount of critical acclaim.
In 2000, McCormick had a short stint on the NBC soap opera Passions, but she was replaced after less than a dozen episodes. She also guest-starred on The Amanda Show, a skit show starring young actress Amanda Bynes. She played Amanda’s mother in one of the skits. She had a cameo as herself in the David Spade vehicle Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. The movie revolved around a former child star and his friends and also included the likes of Dustin Diamond, who played Screech on the hit show Saved by the Bell.
In 2007, McCormick will return to television on the fifth season of VH1’s reality show Celebrity Fit Club. She claims that she wants to lose 30 lbs. that she gained after the loss of her mother.
Maureen McCormick lives with her husband, Michael Cummings, and daughter Natalie Michelle Cummings in their home in Southern California’s Conejo Valley.
As for me, I’m too young to remember the original Brady Bunch and have no interest in watching it on TV Land. The Marcia Brady I remember is Christine Taylor, who played the role in The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel.

Very interesting. She was just on Dr. Phil's show recently, getting help in contacting her real-life dad, who is being kept isolated by an abusive sibling.
