There is this guy called Mack Michaels who used to be - like I am sure most of us are all too familiar with - working really hard but with no savings to show(*).

Even if you’re not from the US, you are still allowed to have an "American Dream"! Ok, so he is American, and tried desperately different ways to protect his future.

With ever-increasing debt, he got more and more depressed and didn’t know how a better income could be attained for himself, let alone his family.
A redundancy just before Christmas then forced him to reassess his whole situation.
