Meditation is the most natural state of our being. When we meditate we are in harmony with everything that exists. We are whole and complete.
Nowadays there is a great need for peace and harmony. The question arise, how came that we are so far from something so natural. I would say that the main culprit is our mind. Mind as such is not bad, but the problem is in the way we are using it. As it is said with the knife you can cut the bread and share it with others or you can stab someone.
If we do not allow our heart which embodies wisdom to lead our mind, nothing good is waiting a head of us. But if we do listen and follow our heart will always end up winners.
When we meditate
our body is emanating light,
our vital is radiating power,
our mind is spreading peace,
our heart is loving unconditionally,
and our soul is manifesting beauty.

Meditation is not something we can learn. Meditation is something that happens spontaneously and we can never force it. The only thing that we can do is to prepare our body , vital, mind and heart to allow meditation to happen. We do this with varies meditation technique .For example, I will describe my favorite meditation technique called light exercise.
LIGHT EXERCISE: We close our and imagine there is a little, tiny sun in the middle of your chest (a place where you point your finger when you say I). This tiny sun is slowly becoming bigger and brighter. Slowly it permits your whole body and expends in to your surroundings. With time the sun becomes so bright that lightens the whole room and still continues to grow bigger and brighter. After a while the light of the sun in our heart permits the whole house or building we are in. Slowly our light surcharges the our city, then the whole country,..continent,..the world and continues to expend in to the whole universe,... We close our meditation exercise with becoming aware of our surrounding and when we are ready we open our eyes. (suggested duration of the exercise ≈ 10 min)
When doing meditation exercises you should consider to implement the following things in order to get the best results:
- Set up a special meditation place or a corner in your home where you will use just for practising meditation and you will be the list interrupted.
- Be regular and practise at list once a day first thing in the morning or in the evening. If you can do it both times even better.
- Start with 10 min exercise and with time gradually extend as you feel like it.
- You can chose between different types of exercises:
- concentration on the candle flame or flower
- visualization exercises (like the one that I described above)
- listening to meditation music
- chanting mantras
Other things that will accelerate your progress:
- taking shower before meditation (cleans your aura)
- having special bright clothes (white is the best) that you ware only when you practise meditation
- reading inspirational books, preferably from realise others, will keep you inspired, deepen your experiences and answer questions that will arise
- spending time in nature (forest, rivers, mountains are the best)
So this are the basic instruction for practising meditation. If you really care for yourself and the world, meditation is the best thing you can do for both the world and yourself. Remember, we create the world with the vibrations that we offer to it.
Thank for reading and a lot of success with your practise.

Thanx Countrywoman.
The first video I took from YouTube just because I like it. The things I'm writing about are not particularly connected to any religion, although I appreciated the essence of each and every religion. Thanks for feedback :)

Thanks for another good hub about meditation. I saw the first video and it does mention about Budhism. Is this form of meditation pertaining to any budhist mantras? And the second video is very good as it brings nice natural scenery with soft sounds. Thumbs up for another wonderful hub.
