Welcome to the scam capital of the world!  South Florida is known as scam central so how do you find a professional website design firm?  You can start with the obvious things such as the office of the Miami website designer.  Real website design companies don't meet you to discuss your project in a coffee shop, they have an office.  It will always be best to meet with a website designer at their office.  You'll better be able to judge the look and feel of the office.  If the office is nice and you are treated well and feel comfortable there then you are off to a good start.  You wouldn't expect a doctor to meet you in a coffee shop and the same is true of the person who will be working on your website.

The next step is to ask how many people will be involved in the design of the website.  In our company there will be four people working on your web design project.

1. The designer or graphic artist will have a minimum of a four year degree in commercial art and graphic design.
2. The programmer will take the artwork and turn it into a functioning website.  The programmer will also have a minimum of a four year degree in website programming.
3. The copywriter is the one who writes the text for your website.  The copywriter has a Master's Degree in Journalism.  The copywriter has the highest level of education of any employee at our company. 
4. The SEO or search engine optimization expert works on your website when the three named above are finished.  This work is not something that is being taught in schools so a track record of success is required. 

Here are some rules to use to shop for a professional Miami website designer.

1. The website design firm must have a South Florida office that you can visit during normal business hours.
2. You must be able to see examples of the design firms work with a link back to the designer's website at the bottom of each page.  That is the only way you know for sure who designed the website. 
3. Try searching for clients of the website design company by searching for what their client does.
4. See what type of clients the Miami website designer is accustomed to working with.  You don't want to be the biggest client that a website developer has ever had.
5. Don't try to find an inexpensive website programmer.  Those are easy to find, look for a good one.  If you had heart problems you wouldn't go looking for an inexpensive cardiologist so when the life of your business is at stake find the right one, not the cheapest one to build your website.
6. After looking at other websites designed by the company check with the owners of those websites to see how satisfied they are.
