I am about to be part of our corporate-wide rolling layoff at my Michigan company. Work three weeks, get one week unpaid off. No choice in the matter. Am I eligible for unemployment compensation for that lost week?

My daughter is in the Navy. I have power of attorney for caring for my grandson. I was working 40 plus hours before he came and I reduced my hours to 32 due to the availability of a child care provider. I work at night and my care taker works in the day. I requested to be rescheduled for six hours on my scheduled work days and a regular eight hour shift on the care takers day off. Due to my full-time status I was encouraged to make a status change to part-time. Now the company reduced my hours further. I am down to 25 hours a week.
