milkshakes
60Shake it up: Milkshakes
It’s rich, it’s creamy, you love it, it’s the only dessert I know of that you can drink through a straw (unless of course you cut up your Jell-O into very tiny pieces, which could be a lot of fun-more on that Idea soon) It’s a milkshake. Too many people have resigned their milkshakes to the drive in window (hint if it comes in a 10 pound mix bag it isn’t a milk shake) or the ice cream shop (yummy) but it can get quite expensive- and you have little to no control about what goes in it or how thick it is. So lets make a low fat high flavor, chocolate milkshake. You need:-1 cup skim milk-8 oz chocolate ice cream (sugar-free if you’re a diabetic, non-fat for the rest of us)-1 can of whipped cream (light for us all)-1 handful of chocolate chips (optional)The proceduresSeparate the ice cream into 4 or 5 small portions. Add the milk to the blender. Mix until combined and uniform. Pour into a large cup. Top with small dollop of whipped cream and some of your chocolate chips. (You could theoretically share this between 2 cups- but who would wan to) If you don’t like chocolate (of course you do- everyone does, but sometimes we all need a change) so let’s a stab at strawberry. You need:-1 cup skim milk-6 large strawberries, chopped into chunks-6 oz strawberry ice cream (sugar-free if you happen to be a diabetic and fat-free for the rest of us)-1 can of whipped cream (light for us all) The proceduresPut the milk into your blender and combine with the strawberries. Continue into relatively uniform. Break ice cream into 4 or 5 smaller pieces and add to mixture. Blend until mostly uniform. There, for the taking are two low-fat (and potentially sugar-free) milk shakes for you to enjoyPrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub
