Not everyone has the room for a full-sized fridge. Maybe you live in a tiny apartment with a kitchen that is way too small. Maybe you are in a dorm room. Perhaps you just want your own personal fridge inside your room or office. Whatever the reason, there are mini refrigerators that will fit your needs. When it comes to mini refrigerator quality, some of them don’t seem to work well at all. You want to make sure you get one that will fit your needs. Some of them don’t have any freezer, and others include a freezer that doesn’t seem to do anything but overflow with ice.

Let’s take a look at some types of mini refrigerators.  . These pint-sized fridges usually have a capacity of anywhere from 1.5 to 5 cubic feet. The smaller ones can hold a few groceries, and the larger ones are actually quite large – big enough for one or two people to use as a refrigerator.

Sanyo Mini Refrigerators

You can get a Sanyo mini refrigerator here that is over half the size of a normal fridge. It sits at the same height of the counter, which is almost 3 feet high. They made this fridge to hold a lot of stuff, and you can even put gallon sized containers right in the door. This particular model doesn’t even include a freezer, which allows you to put more things in the fridge section. Most people can use a freezer though, and there are other good mini fridges that provide one.

Magic Chef Mini Refrigerators

If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on a refrigerator, consider getting a Magic Chef.  A Magic Chef mini refrigerator comes with pretty much everything you need at an inexpensive price.  They produce tiny models and larger ones, with the biggest fridge having a capacity of 3.6 cubic feet.  At a price of $80 for the larger-sized refrigerators, this is as good of a deal as you can get for a brand new fridge.  If you want anything cheaper, you will have to look at garage sales!

The Mini wine refrigerator

Certain mini refrigerators are designed specifically to hold bottles of wine. These models are called mini wine refrigerators. Wine fridges are pretty technologically advanced, and cost more than fridges that are intended for normal use. They have fans that will circulate cold air around the fridge, thus ensuring that all of the bottles chill evenly. In addition, it would be awful if the wine inside froze, so the wine refrigerators have very precise thermostats that control and display the temperature inside. Mini wine refrigerator prices start at around $150 for small models that hold six bottles, and can cost 300 dollars or more for units that hold 48 bottles and have lots of features. You can buy one of these here.

Portable Mini Refrigerators

If you are looking for a fridge that you can simply pick right up and take with you easily, then you need a portable mini refrigerator.  Most of these pin-sized refrigerators weigh only a few pounds, and are big enough to put six bottles or cans in.  Portable refrigerators are available that are a little larger, and these feature wheels and a handle that you can pull like a suitcase.  In addition, most portable mini refrigerators come in handy when in a vehicle.  They all have adapters that allow you to plug them into your car, RV, boat, or truck.  Just plug it into the cigarette lighter or the socket that comes with most new model vehicles today.  As for costs, you can get your hands on one of these tiny six pack refrigerators for as little as $20.

My son actually got one of these mini fridges for his bedroom. I call him lazy, but he insists that he's preparing himself for the day he moves away from home - lol, like that's ever going to happen :-)

I actually converted a mini fridge into a kegerator with 2 taps. Nothing could be more enjoyable, though it really kills my productivity :-)

Mini refrigerators can be really a life safer. When my normal fridge busted I was lucky to have a mini fridge on the attic.
