Network Marketing Tip: The One Word That Will Kill Your Dreams
56That Dangerous Little Word……
You just joined a hot new business opportunity and you want to tell everyone about it. Everyone is sitting around the dinner table when you make your big announcement.
Immediately you see "that look" on their faces. Kind of like you just told them you had leprosy.
Next comes the fatherly advice with that word: SECURITY.
Don't leave your JOB, you have a secure position, regular paycheck, chance for advancement. Don't be a fool.
Security - they can't see the real opportunity past it.
The truth is that "The JOB" world doesn't offer any more security than following your dreams. In reality it creates fear and anxiety. The company is going through difficult times. I hope I don't get laid off. At all cost you must maintain security.
The security blinders don't allow you to see anything beyond the 9 to 5 world.
Pat yourself on the back. Realize you are very special: you know there is something much more important... real unlimited opportunity.
Don't let them steal your dreams with that dangerous little word: security.

I have seen this happen to some of my friends and family particularily a brother in law who builds custom homes. The proor fellow had to go to CO from MN for months to take on a job doing the interior finishing on a 8 million dollar mansion and leave his family behind for months. That one word SECURITY seems to be vanishing for allot of people. Great article, short and to the point.
No job or business is truly secure.
A business is more secure because you have more control.
Good thought!
You made some good points here. Fear is the biggest emotion people have to deal with in any job situation. Security is the word or condititon people believe is the answer to their fear. But as was stated in previous comment..there is no such thing as job security anymore. It's up to us as individuals to create our own sucessful financial future and our own security.
Thanks for the info.

I laugh 'that look' anyone who runs a business that involves selling or recruiting knows that response. Unlike so many marketers, I don't approach friends and discuss my opportunity with them. Why? Well I want to keep my friends plus I know before they begin they are going to fail. After all there is no point talking to someone who has true faith in 'job security' about a business op. I like your point of view on job v's business security and agree 100%. Thanks for the inspiration!

You hit the nail on the head.
Boy this sure used to be me... I'd literally "vomit" my biz info onto my friends and family and watch in horror as their eyes glazed over or as you point out my best friends would give me "The Talk".
I'm so glad I found Renegade University and Attraction Marketing! It's changed my life. Keep spreading the word because you are on the right track here.
How true!
