When you are planning your MLM network marketing leads campaign you must think of both strategies and tactics. Strategies are long term goals and tactics are more short term goals. Tactics can be the things you do every day or every week that will fulfill the necessary requirements of your overall lead strategy.
For example, lets say one of your strategies is to increase your first and second tier associated count by 100 members. If you assume that each member averages two successful recruits then you will have 108 first and second tier members who are now working to build a network marketing business for themselves while they continue to build your MLM business.
One of your overall goals, or strategies, then for your MLM lead generation campaign would be to get 100 new associates.
The next step would be to develop the tactics you will use to meet your strategic goals. Let’s say you know that you have to start with a list of 20 names in order to find 5 people interested enough in the business to sit down and talk about the opportunity. And suppose you know that you will have, on average, one of these people actually sign up as a member of your down line. So out of these 20 people you get one signee. That means you must have 20 names to contact for every one person who joins. If you want to increase your business by 3 people per month then you must have 60 names you can contact. Twenty names per new member times 3 new members equals 60 names.
Now you need to develop that tactics you will use to generate those 60 names. Let’s say you know each time you run an ad in the classified for a work at home opportunity you get 5 people who respond with their names. But this number only holds if you run the ad once a week. You first tactic could be to run the ad every week for four weeks and get 20 names.
Next, you realize that every time you present at a lunch meeting you get 10 people interested. Your second tactic would be to set up lunch meetings. But you can only do one per month so this tactic will give you 10 names.
For the third tactic you write a press release about some amazing new part of the company. You know from past experience that you get 30 names when you write a good state wide press release. You now have the 60 names you need to contact.

Tactics For Helping Your New Members Recruit
Once you have the new members you then need to develop the tactics you will use to help them to find their own two new members.
Tactic One could be to work with them on their phone skills. Maybe do a 15 minute critiqued call with each one to give them tips on phone usage.
Tactic Two could be how to write an effective classified ad. Show them the proper use of headlines and tag lines to generate interest in your offer.
Tactic Three lessons in writing short reports that highlight the positive aspects of your business. These reports can be offered as free information for people who request to know more without meeting you in person.
These are just some of the tactics that could be used to help your new downline members start to develop their own downlines.
