For the third part in the series I'm going to continue my look at the console tables in the hope that you might learn from my exhaustive research into this essential furniture for your hallway. This time we will see the modern console table and also designs hailing from Italy.

Ultra Modern Console Table and Glass Console Table Designs

• Atlas and Capricorn are two glass console tables that are extremely popular and feature curved 12 mm clear glass. These are very tall console tables, standing 80 inches in height. Glass thickness 12mm and cost about $500. In a similar contemporary glass console table is the Casper Curved Glass coffee table, which also has 12 mm clear glass and is 45 inches in height.

• Also there’s a console table called the Bent clear glass console table made entirely from tempered glass. It is good for dark areas because it helps with light and space being transparent. It’s available from UK distributors for about £300. There is a less expensive model of console table from the same maker. Simply called a Clear Curved glass console table and is only about £180. There is also a smoked glass console table option for about £200.

• Opal Glass Console Table with table and mirror with a bronze colored reflective surface 2 drawers. It’s not a subtle piece of furniture at all and stands very tall. It’s glossy and shiny and extravagantly elegant with a price to match at over £ 1,500.

• Molten Console Table is an ultra modern transparent, glass and steel console table for ultra modern décor. Prices start at about £240. Can be ordered from UK distributors online.

• The Cassia Console Table is another innovative contemporary glass console table but also has a satin plated, solid wood base. The Apollo contemporary glass console table is similar with a glass top and chrome finish legs. Also available through UK distribution at about £250.

• You can have the ultimate console table. It’s invisible! The “Unseen Sculpture”, as this console table is called, is made entirely of Plexi-glass and comes with a price tag that is very visible at over £450.

Cheap Console Table

• The cheapest console tables I can find are about $150 and are contemporary Iron and glass console tables but are not very high at between 21 inches and 28 inches.

Italian Console Table

Cattelan Italia blade glass console tables mix Italian contemporary design with metal, glass, marble, crystal and leather. One console table in this line has clear glass or beveled clear glass top and natural beech, walnut, cherry, wengé, black or silver stained beech legs. They have frosted glass shelves and come in two sizes. Tall and medium. There is also a matching blade glass dining table all from Modus Studio. They are not cheap at all, but high quality and good value at £870.
