Making Your Way thru This Money Glitch Economy
79Positive or Negative Money Glitch Examples?
Money Glitches
A money glitch can have both a positive or negative connotation. Someone born during the Baby Boomer generation probably has never used the term. The Gen X group may have used the term now that it is becoming popular, but the Gen Y group definitely has used the term in a positive way. For this group a money glitch is a secret passage that will give you more money points or excel you a level or two within an Oblivion, X-Box, or Forza 2 game.
Within the last few years the Boomers and Gen X unknowingly experienced
a negative money glitch as they watched their finances literally disappear in
what seems a short span of time. Each groups’ situation differs in many ways,
age being a relevant factor; however all groups have found themselves in a
similar situation of having to cut back, do without, and contemplate what to do
next. In summation, "Money glitch" can be defined as a sudden increase or decrease of money that is caused by a glitch whether it is a computer system or another entity.
Baby Boomers are in culture shock
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 and are now middle age and entering senior years. Many in this group were in or near retirement when this money glitch happened. Now as a means of surviving this economic recession many are looking to find work, moving with their loved ones, or penniless because of the almost crash of the stock market.
The Gen X group is in a financial crisis
Xers were born right after “the big Boom” ended being born between the years of early to mid 1960’s to the late 1970’s. In many ways this group has the weight of the world upon its shoulders due to having to become the care-givers’ generation. The responsibility of taking care of one’s parents while attempting to raise a family of your own may prove to be insurmountable within the next 10 years due to this money glitch.
The Gen Y group is having to face reality
Yers were born most commentators agree from the 1980’s to early 1990’s. This is the generation that has been exposed mostly to “the good life.” They were birthed by parents that did not want their children to do without material things even if it meant going deeply in debt. Being born in the information age where technology becomes obsolete only weeks after you make a purchase are now finding themselves in a reality that upon having a choice would find out where the nearest money glitch is and warp forward to better times. But, instead they too are having to worry about money and unfortunately at times taking on the weight of the world that their parents have to endure.
Most would agree that each generation would love for the recession to be over and for everything to at least go back to the way it was quickly. To the times when many were getting ready to retire financially stable, others were rapidly moving up the corporate ladder of success, while yet others were playing with their electronic gadgets anticipating what gift would be received next week.

Tough Times is the Time to Prepare to Shine
During tough times such as this money glitch recession it is
important not to focus all you time looking at the negative things around
you. It is important to find things that give you joy as well as focusing
on the positive end results that you desire. Boomers and Gen Xers can
learn the joy of anticipating the positive money glitches within life.
Gen Yers can learn that just like they've trained and studied to master the
money glitch games they can do the same in real life. This is not the time to stop to have a pity party or dwell on what would have been and don't spend time keeping up with all your friends' bad news. It is important to keep moving forward toward the better days that will eventually return.
Spend time getting information about how to survive and or recover during this recession. Suze Orman offers sound advice when she states, “Listen to me: Stop focusing on the big picture. Given what is going on in the world right now, you’ll only fuel your fear and anxiety.” Suze’s latest O Magazine article titled 9 Small Financial Steps That Will Pay Off Big in the Future provides a wealth of information on the small things we can be doing while the economy recovers.
Another great O Magazine author Amanda Robb talks about money and saving it by answering the question, Money in the Bank...How Does It Get There? Two years ago, many would have probably ignored Amanda when she advises to pay off credit cards, however many are taking heed to this advice provided they still have jobs and enough income to do so.
As Americans, we will get through this recession and eventually recover all that has been lost; so I challenge all generations to tap into the power within as we all go through this near economic crisis. Boomers and Xers take a minute to check out the two games directly above in which the hidden “money glitch” treasures are revealed. Directly below are 12 ways of focusing on success instead of failure.
12 Things ways to catapult you towards success
While waiting for the next positive money glitch it is important to keep moving forward away from the doom and gloom of your present situation. You can do this by doing the opposite of the naysayers:
- Take action by developing a definite vision or goal of what it is you want
- Start moving to create ambition to launch forward past mediocre
- Disallow having a negative attitude envision having it all, once more
- Establish self discipline in finding something positive in each day
- Envision and imagine being equipped to find the right opportunities
- Down play the excuses of race, sex, or circumstances as a reason for inactivity
- Seek God or the immensity of the Universe if you choose to be atheist
- Get rid of ill health, envy, and or jealousy towards others
- Be persistent in following through to finish that what you’ve started
- Forget about attempting to get something for nothing
- Go the extra mile to render service wherever needed
- Master unpleasant circumstances facing it head-on instead of running away
We realize that many will find this list too long, too hard, or just nonsense; however we challenge you to do something to move forward from your present negative money glitch situation. Remember even in the electronic games the quest is not won without action.

I agree Kent! I think that people will look back and realize that the recession brought about change otherwise, people would still be doing the same ole things(in a job they hated or spending more money than what they had). Now, those that choose to do so, have the opportunity to find the positive "hidden treasures" within themselves. Thx for commenting!
Very informative and interesting!
Amanda Robb's advise about paying off credit cards does pay off. That is one thing we should really do otherwise we should not use credit cards.
I agree Chin chin, Now that banks are being allowed to charge individuals up to 30 percent interest. I think there will be less credit card charges. Thanks for commenting.

Very nice hub, MG! I agree that it's important to stay positive during these rough economic times. I personally think a lot of people are going to discover their true worth during the days to come. I'd like to think that we can experience a great lesson from what has happened in this country, and that we can all come away older and wiser. Good job!
