When I was in high school, I got a paper route. One day one of my customers asked me if I could mow her lawn. That started a half dozen lawn jobs I had.

Well, I made it a point to save 50 percent of all the money I made frome my paper route and lawn jobs. I put in a savings account and never touched it. . . until I was in my second year of college. I was then able to use that money and pay cash for my first car.

That was a great savings plan for me. I would encourage you to save half of everything you make in a special bank account. Make a commitment not to take anything out until ready to make a purchase such as a car.

Find something that you can do without the assistance of any outside company that is just waiting to take advantage of you. You can start a number of small businesses, even buying and selling on ebay without using the aid of a work at home company.

Also, some customer service centers allow their representatives to work out of their homes to save costs. They don't pay quite as much, but then you have no wardrobe or transportation needs either.

Look for a local Primerica agent, call and speak to the RVP of that office. If you like talking to people, learning about money and helping others to do the same, this is a great company to work for. The sky is the limit on income and advancement. It is work, but work for a short period of time to become an RVP and you have a big B business.
