I love audio books. They are great time savers, they fill the mindless times when you are doing monotonous chores, wait in line or commute. Or they can help you relax and float into the space an author has created and an narrator or a whole team of narrators paint 'cinema for the mind' with their voices for you.

Used to be that you had to go shopping in the real world to find the CD's or DVD's with audio books on them, or you could shop online and then wait for the postman to bring the parcel to your door steps. Not much fun this waiting for delivery!

Nowadays, many authors offer downloadable content. I.e. you can get your audio books immediately, once you have decided what to buy and your payment has been accepted. So from the time you find an audio book to the time you're actually listening to it it's just a few minutes, not days anymore.
