MRSA may come from a very common type of bacteria but it can be very dangerous if left unattended. Several cases have gone completely bad due to failure in the part of the patient to detect the symptoms correctly. Remember that the disease can be deadly unless individuals start learning how to understand the infection symptoms better and provide the right treatment.

Beginning Signs of MRSA

Regardless of the strain or type of staphylococcus aureus bacteria, skin infection is one of the most common initial signs of infection. Some types may manifest more severe effects but these all should be considered as warning signs to provide treatment measures immediately. At the beginning, cellulitis occurs as small red bumps or lumps. These appear very mild at first but will begin to grow and progress within the next few days. Some areas may present more or larger formations compared to others.

More potent strains of bacteria will cause the size of lumps to grow as much as two times within a single day. The redness of the lump will extend beyond the actual boundary and formation of the lump. Usual spots to find the skin irritation would be on the inside of the arms, the neck, back and inner thighs. Because of the growing infection, it is expected that the patient will experience fever as well as heat on the lumps due to inflammation. Fever may occur as soon as the breakout begins or a few days after. Everyone should immediately seek a doctor upon noticing cellulitis development since serious types of the disease can eat away tissue.

The bumps and lumps should contain pus in varying amounts depending on the size which are very rich in staph bacteria. Impetigo is the term used to describe skin infection having pus-filled blisters. Boils are infected hair follicles filled with pus. Abscesses are large formations under the skin wherein pus has formed and accumulated. Sty is described as the infection of the eyelid gland. Carbuncles have a very dirty appearance with many openings in the skin and are considerably larger than abscesses. These are all progressed skin infections with various treatment requirements.

Later MRSA Signs

Affected skin areas will usually feel warm or hot, painful, itchy and swollen. Once the MRSA infection starts breaking down the skin and tissues, bacteria and germs then enter the bloodstream and affect other areas of the body leading to different symptoms. It is possible for patients to have the bacteria enter their system via a different means then later on spread to affect existing wounds, cuts and abrasions. The disease can spread to virtually any part of the body leading to fatal results.

Germs reaching the lungs will result to pneumonia so the patient may experience shortness of breath and mucus formation. Should the urinary tract be affected, the person may experience pain and heat in the area. Heart valve infection is very serious and could lead to cardiovascular problems and rheumatic heart disease if left untreated. Blood poisoning or septicemia may occur as well as joint infection or septic arthritis or bone infection or osteomyelitis. Systemic infection will then lead to a variety of symptoms that should be reported to a doctor quickly such as chills, chest pain, fatigue, rash, headache, bone and joint pain, muscle pain, vomiting and headache.

Why do people feel the need to be rude. Sometimes people over look spelling of words when they are upset about something and do not notice it until it's to late. Be nice people and if you can't, well then keep it to yourself.
