The very first Miss World was conducted in the year 1951. The first World Pageant introduced as a part of Festival of  Britain Celeberations and the audiecne made it a grand success. The first Miss World Kiki Haakonson of Sweden to be crowned in Swimsuit. And she is the first and last Miss World to be crowned in the costume of two piece swimsuit.

The 58th Miss World Final will be held at Johannesburg,  Sandton Convention Centre, South Africa on December 12, 2008. At the conclusion of the friday night,  Zhang Zilin outgoing titleholder will crown her successor.

Women from every country compete in front of bilion viewers of Television. Judges determine based on the  winning combination of glamour,poise, intelligence, beauty. Miss Kseniya Sukhinova represents Russia and she Won the Title Miss world 2008 on 12th December 2008. She resides with her parents in Tyumen Region in the North West of Siberia.
