Have you ever wanted to know what the millionaires know? Most of the millionaires out there have had to learn this all by themselves, but all I had to do is ask a millionaire and he gave the dish on what it takes to build a multi-million dollar business. There are 15 traits that the business must be founded on. Let's see if you have any already and what you might need to work on.

1. How do you think? Mindset is important, you know that by now. You have to acquire the mind of a millionaire to become one. Affirmations can help with that. I actually go into more detail on that in one of my previous articles.

2. What is your posture? You must carry yourself like a millionaire would. They would never say, "I can't afford it." Or "I can't do that." You must act as if...

3. What are you willing to do? You have to be willing to do what it takes for your business to be successful. Are you willing to get up early and stay up late? There are really two investments that you could ever make into anything: money and time. How much are you willing to invest?

4. Are you able to follow through with commitment? Do you finish what you start? Failure is common in business. The difference between a failure and a success is whether or not you are willing to keep going. Failure can occur everyday in business. You could lose a customer or your shipment could be late. You must remember that tomorrow could be a brand new beginning if you are willing to pick yourself up and move on.

5. Can you make a plan (time picture) and stick to it? Time management is important because if you don't know what you are supposed to be doing when you are supposed to be doing it, then you will get nowhere. The beauty of this is that the plan you start with is not the plan that will get you where you need to be. With that said you must still make out a course of action and follow it. You will not know what will work and what needs to change unless you put your original plan into motion.

6. Can you focus on the future? Every business owner has a bad day here and there. The thing to remember is that you actually working toward something special and that is more important than the struggle you are experiencing today.

7. Ask, "What can I do better today than yesterday?" You always want to go to bed a different person than when you woke up. Ask yourself this every evening because a little tweak to your routine could make a big difference.

8. Do you practice self improvement? Read a good book or listen to a great speech. It's not that hard. Most people will never read an entire book again once they graduate high school. Don't be that person. Expand your mind and learn from the people who have already accomplished what you are striving for.

9. Can you take action? It's one thing to make a plan and set goals for yourself, it's a whole new ball game when you must now work your plan and accomplish your goals. Some of us plan to plan. We are always thinking about what needs to be done versus actually doing what needs to be done. Are you a doer?

10. How is your character? It must be strong to endure the adversity you will face as you build you business.

11. How is your attitude? Millionaires don't complain or blame. You must be positive or this whole thing will go up in flames. If you find your attitude is not what it needs to be, find out what will change it and focus on that. Maybe a song or a poem will help lift your spirits. Just be positive and positive things will be attracted to you.

12. Do you have patience? Patience is a virtue. If you expect to be a millionaire overnight then your expectations are way too high. You must be patient and you will be rewarded.

13. What is your self-image? You must think, act, dress, eat and sleep like a millionaire. If your self-esteem is low then you will convey that to the people you will do business with. You must become your biggest fan!

14. What are your beliefs? I don't mean your religious beliefs; I mean what philosophies will you carry over into your business? As a matter of fact, I believe that you should leave religion out of your business to begin with. It just gives people a reason not to do business with you. You first have to believe in yourself, and then you must believe in your mission. You can do it. I believe in you!

15. Do you have a love for people? You must be able to handle anyone who crosses your path, whether they are positive or negative. If you are inverted and wish to stay that way, don't start a business. You must want to help others and by helping them, you will in turn be helped.

The main thing that you must keep in mind is your ‘why'. Why do you want to be a millionaire? If it's only for the money then you just need to play the lottery and try to get your millions the "easy" way. Becoming a millionaire is about servant leadership. Your reason why puts you in the driver's seat but your philosophies will keep you behind the wheel. Millionaires are not born, they are first formed in the mind and then through action.
