Is Murcia Golf Valley Spain's best kept secret?

Traditionally, Murcia Region is the kitchen garden of Spain...Drive any distance at all, whether through hills, or on the plains, and you'll find orange and lemon groves, orchards of olive and almond trees, and fields of artichokes or other vegetables, depending on the season.

But Murcia also benefits from the beautiful Costa Calida - a 250Km stretch of Mederranean coast featuring clean sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and coveshas seen heavy investment over the past few years in top-quality resorts based on a golfing theme. While the courses are great, there is also a huge range of interests for non-golfing members of the party.

Murcia Golf Valley - Emerging Golfers Paradise?

The new Murcia Golf Valley provides golfers a choice of many excellent courses within easy reach of each other.  Polaris World is the largest single developer, and was one of the earliest to become established. But when you've been to one Polaris world resort, you've been to them all. (A bit unfair, but you know what I mean...) The largest is at La Torre, which, as well as a medium-sized supermarket and commercial centre, has a School and Medical centre on the site.  Many resorts are built on sections of flat, featureless plain, a little inland from the Mediterranean or Mar Menor coast lines. There are some gems however, set tastefully into rolling hills, with a more interesting outlook to mountains or sea, and buildings of design and colour that blends beautifully with the countryside. Like the United Golf Resorts development at La Tercia, right in the heart of the Murcia Golf Valley.
