Chronic yeast infections

5% of women suffer from chronic yeast infections at some point in their life and end up continually visiting their doctor saying, "My yeast infection keeps coming back". Some women on the otherhand suffer with chronic infections without ever going to their doctor, and this isn't a good idea.

Seeing your doctor

If you're suffering from any infection in yoru vagina it's important to see your doctor as soon as possible. Your doctor can give you a correct diagnosis of your infection which is the first tsep to getting the correct treatment as soon as possible.

Many women will self diagnose their ( possible ) yeast infection to save the embarrassment of a visit to see their doctor. The problemn is some women get their diagnosis wrong and end up treating another infection with a yeast infection treatment.

If you have another infection

If you have another vaginal infection, and you treat it with a yeast infection cream all that happens is you cure the symptoms for a short while. While the symptoms have been eliminated the infection will still be getting worse.

Other vaginal infections are...

Once the treatment has finished the infection that is still there will have gotten worse, and the symptoms will return a lot worse. The danger of this is, the infection that has gone untreated could be spreading to your reproductive organs or your kidneys.

An untreated infection could lead to permanent damage to any of these organs which could lead to your never being able to have any more children, or in extremely worse case scenarios, death.

This is why it's so important for a correct diagnosis from your doctor. Guessing that you have a yeast infection from a list of symptoms is no way to look after your health.

Find the cause of your infections

To successfully cure your recurrent yeast infections you must find the cause of them. The Candida yeast lives in all of us, and there's always a good reason why it is allowed to mutate into an aggressive fungus.

Your body is very good at preventing the yeast from mutating, and once you find out why your body can't prevent it from happening you'll rid you body of it.

Underlying illness or health condition

The yeast overgrowth in your body could be caused by an underlying illness or health condition. This is another reason why it's important to see your doctor so he/she can give you a health check and run some tests if you're suffering from recurrent yeast infections.

Diabetes is the most common health condition that causes yeast infections, and is something that can easily be controlled by your doctor.

The HIV/AIDS virus is another illness that causes chronic yeast infections, and will need immediate attention.

Getting expert help

Chronic yeast infections usually require expert help. Just making one mistake in your attempt to eliminate the destructive mutated yeast from your body can send your progress backwards.

You need to know all your options when it comes to discovering what is causing the yeast overgrowth in your body, and then know exactly how to reverse the damage that has been caused.
