Help selling a structuraed settlement - Where to purchase a structured settlement
75My children
We are not the only family facing struggles
It has been hard for us to make ends meet lately. My home foreclosed on a few months ago.
As my husband and I sat in the living room discussing our options and ideas on what we could do to get it back, My daughter walked into the room. Kala said, "We could sell my structured settlement payments", "please mom". She is currently 15.
When Kala was about 7, she fell off the neighbors porch. I was in my house next door and I could hear Kala screaming. As i walked outside I could see that she had broken both her bones in her right arm. Her right arm was hanging about half way down, both bones broke in half. It was shocking to look at. I took her to the ER and they put it back in place, an then placed her arm in a cast. Many doctor appointments also followed.
When I returned back home I walked over to the neighbors house and spoke with the woman who lived there. I asked her if she had home owners insurance just to cover kala's medical expenses. The woman immediately became hostile and said,"Can't You get Medicade", as she was looking down on me. I was very much offended with this comment. I walked back to my home and called an attorney out of Buffalo. One hour later they were at my door for statements and pictures. I would have never sued her had she not acted the way she did. I am just not that type of person, but she left me no know choice.
I later found out the the woman who lived there was just a renter and she had renters insurance and the owner had home owners insurance. My attorney was able to sue both insurance companies. My attorney found a structured settlement company called Hartford where the money is stored.
I had a choice at that time whether I wanted a lump sum or too put it in a structured settlement investment which made the amount grow a lot more. I chose the structured Insurance settlement, so that my daughter would have money at important times in her life. At 18 she will receive 5,000. At 21 she will receive 7,500. And at 25 she will receive 17,000.
Kala got to the point where she keeps begging me to sell it so we could have a down payment for our home back. What a good daughter I have raised although it makes me feel terrible I can't raise the money on my own.
There are a few companies online that buy structured settlements. I did a search on google and found a company called peach tree, but the representative for the company told me they cannot do a thing until she turns 18, unless there is an extremely dire need. I believe my situation is a dire need. After all its for shelter for my child. I would have to take it in front of a judge, but i believe if we do a judge would clearly see a need for it and if families have things like this to help why not. Well for now I can only hope when it gets to court a judge can help our family. There are many families out there in need with many financial difficulties at this time an many do not have annuities that could help. My daughter does but has to wait years to be able to use it. This is unfair to her.
If anyone out there would like to help our family in any amount, we would greatly appreciate it. Our email for paypal for any donations is mackeykristie@yahoo.com
