An Update to my bad experience with Freesitesignup.com!

Today is Sep, 15, 2009

As of today a I had not been paid my very 1st and last commssion of $205. I want everybody to know this... if are you are thinking of signing up with them, don't do it. Read my hub first and the comments before you do it.

I had contacted their customer support so many times and they had given several promises to pay but up until today they had not. Maybe there are others who had also the same problem... please stop promoting freesitesignup.com - its a scam site.

If you want to make money online don't go with FreeSiteSignup.com.

In March, 2009, when I came across this affiliate review site called FreeSiteSignup. After trying it for a few days, I upgraded to their paid program on March 23, 2009 and started promoting it, I quickly found out that this program is not worth your time to make money on.

My goal in joining this affiliate site is to be able to be able to make money online. They claimed that you don't need to spend a penny to join and get $100 pending bonus. Why pending? I'll explain it later. Their website has about 28 other websites that give reviews of popular affiliate programs. If you click any link and make a purchase or join as an affiliate, you will get a commission, that’s what they claim to do..

Maybe FreeSiteSignup is not really FREE after all.

Should you decide to join the program, you have two options. You can choose either the Basic program or the Money Making Website Package.

The basic package is FREE, but you cannot make any changes to your website, because it is a replication of the main website. If you choose this package, it is impossible to make money from this FREE website as Google does not give replicated website a good rank.

Your second option is the Money Making Website Package. You upgrade to this package by paying $8.95 for the first 30 days of hosting your website. The fee includes the domain name. After 30 days, they charge your credit card with $97 for one year of hosting. When you upgrade to this package that is when you get a $100 pending bonus. You also get paid $50 every time someone signs up as a paid affiliate and get paid $5 when someone below them signs someone to the program also. You get paid when your commission totals $200 or more, that’s what they also claim.

With this package, you can customize your website. They provide training course in their member area, which will help you set up and promote it to make money online, another claim.

Just as any other online businesses, you have to promote your website and drive traffic. Once people make purchases through your website or join your Money Making Website you get paid your commission..

After my bad experience with this affiliate review site I can say it is a Scam?

I have been promoting this "affiliate money making website" for 5 months now and made a very small commission of $205, but up until my writing this hub, I had not been paid this commissions that was supposed to have been paid in May. For the past two months of chatting with their customer support people I have no luck getting paid. Their customer support sucks. They will tell you that they are there to help you every step of the way. But just to get paid has taken an unbearable experience for someone whose goal is to make money online.

The so called "cash-pulling affiliate website", which cost me $106, is just a review website. It has a very simple script with very limited features. In the five months of promoting it, I have gotten a few visitors to my website. It is very hard to promote. Their ad says that you will make $1000 everyday after setting up your website is simply not true at all. And if it is true, maybe the more they cannot pay me.

A $97 per year of hosting is not cheap at all for sharing web hosting, and I am curious how they provide such terrible service with such a high price.

Finally, customers support sucks. Their training tutorials are not good. They just show some basic knowledge about Internet marketing in the courses. In fact, you can get an even better program with professional trainings with much lower cost or even free.

In conclusion, I would say that FreeSiteSignup is not a good affiliate program to make money online. It is not worth your time and money to promote it.

Then why join them if they will not provide the needed training and the income as they claim they will. If you figure at least 100 people sign up, multiply that with the initial auto payment of $8.95 = $895.00 went to their pocket for nothing? No way Jose!!! I will just buy me a good burger lunch with fries and softdrinks.

That's a hard earned lesson. Next time, be careful especially if it involves money.

I'd suggest you try getting your own domain and work from there using google adsense, chitika and other programs. At least, you know your hardwork WILL pay off. :)

Hi,

I have fell for a scam or two over the years. It stinks but I learned a lot.

I do agree with realmofadreamer. Yes, get your own inexpensive Domain or use free Hubpages, websites and blogs. At least you will know your hardwork WILL pay off. Very good advice for newbies.

I signed up for freesitesignup.com little over a month ago now. My 30 day trial ended on Labor Day. I purchased a domain that had over 25 links to various products with the top 3-5 products and the reviews of each. This saves a lot of time having 25 different websites to build. I went to my c-panel and edited all 25 or more websites with my affiliate id's and some article editing. Two days later the server went down and everything I had updated was lost. It took me nearly 5 days to do that.

I filled out a trouble ticket through the support department. They just send you some generic email stating that they were sorry about the problems that I experienced and they are doing what they can to fix the situation.

They could have at least sent an email to their customers telling them about the severs being down.

Since then, twice or three times a week the server has been down. And if you call the 800# for customer service you always get a message saying that all cust. service agents are on the line with someone and to please leave a detailed message and someone will get back with you. Then 2 days later you get another generic email saying they received your voice mail message and are working on fixing my problem. BS! They have no intention on fixing anything.

I emailed the accounting department to cancel my membership 2 days before my 30 day trial was up. I get an email from pay pal saying my account was charged $97. I've sent 2 emails to freesitesignup.com to reverse this charge and so far I have yet to get a response.

This company is so shadey, I can't believe these people are still in business. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office in California.
