Genesis 1:1 is quite an interesting passage to me. I have memorized it in Hebrew and I often reflect on its beauty and meaning. It was upon learning Hebrew that my eyes became opened to many wonderful things concerning Genesis 1:1.

Scholarship in Hebrew will reveal to the sincere seeker many of the deepest levels of Truth contained in the Holy Bible. The Aleph-Beyt is a Divinely ordered alphanumeric system of letters, numbers, sounds, and colors. With the Aleph-Beyt YAHWEH communicated the eternal Word of Truth to the prophets and apostles (1st Peter 1:25).

With the Wisdom of the Aleph-Beyt we can begin to unravel some of the intricately woven layers of Genesis 1:1. Volumes could be written treating the highest science contained in Genesis 1:1. Genesis 1:1 is pregnant with many subtle yet complex ideas difficult to convey into another tongue. The King James Version translators were successful at rendering Genesis 1:1 into a concise ten-word sentence while simultaneously infusing it with a poetic ring.

The KJV, word-for-word, is a very accurate and literal translation of the Hebrew Scriptures. For this reason it Is easy to interpret the Scriptures wholly literally. To strictly take the Holy Bible literally (at face value) is to be led astray.

Again, the KJV is a reliable translation of the original Hebrew text; however, Genesis 1 reads in a way that would suggest that the Creation was instantaneous.

The "six days" of Creation are not six literal 24-hour periods. Nature never leaps but progresses gradually. The "six days" in which YAHWEH created something from nothing represent the six directions of three dimensional space: top, bottom, right side, left side, front, and back.

Numerous translations of the Holy Bible are available. Despite the translation Genesis 1:1 remains unchanged. Bible scholars seem unable (or unwilling) to depart from the KJV translation of Genesis 1:1. And for this reason the false concept of an intangible "God" remains unchanged.

Our thinking should progress with the times. The need exists for an up-to-date translation of the Holy Bible to reflect contemporary thought. My suggestion for a new and updated translation of Genesis 1:1 is:

"By Wisdom Alohim manifested the upper realms and the planet."

This particular translation, like the KJV, sums up Genesis 1:1 in ten words, with a total of fifty letters. The number ten represents Completion. The fifty letters signify the fifty chapters of the Book of Genesis. This particular translation also adheres to the trend of the Holy Scriptures (the Torah and the Qur'an) by commencing with the letter "b."

"Rashith" is an ancient word for "Wisdom." When the letter "b" prefixes a word, it means, "in," "with," "by," "with the aid of," and/or "with the assistance of."

Berashith, which has been translated, "In the beginning," could alternatively be rendered, "By Wisdom." Similarly, Proverbs 3:19 reads:

"YAHWEH by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath He established the heavens."

Who wrote the book of Genesis.

Some say it could only be written by God as were the Ten Commandments. Of course, we have no physical evidence of the tablets containing the commandments.

One thing for sure, Genesis nor any of the books of the Bible were written contemporaneously. At the time of Genesis, there was no formal language. If there was a language even in the time of the Garden of Eden, it didn't survive, otherwise there wouldn't have been any need to change to the many languages found in the early civilization.

The world supposedly started with just Adam and Eve and followed with their children. This is like the Big Bang of people. It was homogeneous and everyone had the same language, whatever it was. As the population grew, it grew from the same source.

Modern day language is only a few thousand years old but the variations around the world are in the thousands. This doesn't make sense, unless Adam and Eve were not alone.

It is apparent that language developed and evolved over time. For Adam and Eve to be created by God, their language should have been sophisticated and developed in the Garden of Eden. Apparently, it was not, otherwise it would have lasted throughout time. Unless, you think God was not capable of providing a perfect language for his creation.

The bible should been written by God and been given to Adam and Eve as a guide for their existence. Before being thrown out of the Garden for disobeying God, there was the tree of knowledge, yet God didn't want Adam and Eve to have knowledge. This is a paradox that no one can really explain.

Also, if all souls are equally important to God, then the first billion or more souls were throwaways because they didn't have language, civilization or the same God. Even in the 20th Century the world still have primitive civilizations that had no concept of the bible or its God.

While Genesis was not the first book written in the Bible, it should have been the first. Genesis is not a book about the beginning but about genealogy.

The Bible was not written by a Divine Intellect but written by man within the scope of that being.

The world has always been run by men and women didn't count until the last part of the 20th century. Adam and Eve were not created equally. Why, because Genesis was written by men who could not conceive that women were their equal.

Women were the one that had the children and that was a fact , that had to be accounted for in the bible. But that fact didn't make them any more than a beast of burden.

Genesis doesn't explain how man evolved to take care of themselves, such as shelter, child delivery, child caring, clothes and all the other human things that differentiate us from the rest of Earth's creatures.

I could go on, but you get my drift.
