Have you ever wondered how to go about becoming a mystery shopper? Well congratulations, you have just found all the information that you will ever need. In case you didn't already know, a mystery shopper is somebody that follows a set brief to report on specific aspects of service recieved in shops, helplines, restaurants and pretty much any sort of business which deals directly with everyday consumers. This hub is actually targeted specifically at those who live in the UK, but there are companies in all developed countries that offer these positions!
Why Become A Mystery Shopper?
If you wish to earn a little bit of extra cash, and sometimes recieve some great extra freebies, just by doing the things that you do on a normal day then becoming a Mystery Shopper in your local area is a great opportunity. A mystery shopper is normally required to purchase a product or a service, which is paid for them, but asked to complete a questionnaire afterwards to rate or describe their experience; the mystery shopper will usually be paid extra cash for this too depending on. Personally it is not for me, I would feel too guilty about getting sales assistants in trouble, but if you are built for that then read on.
There are loads of UK agencies out there that offer Mystery Shopping assignments, and some companies will even recruit their own through your local newspaper. Below however is a list of a few of the larger businesses that I know of:
Marketchecker.co.uk - I have heard that these are a very professional organisation to deal with.
Checkoutuk.co.uk - One of the UK's largest provider and recruitor of Mystery Shoppers, generally acknowledged to pay good rates for assignments
Retaileyes.co.uk - Another major UK business offering Mystery Shopper UK Jobs
There are dozens more providers out there, you just need to have a search, but the three listed above will be a good place to start.
Good Luck!
