My Webkinz World

Until a few weeks ago I didn't even know what a Webkinz was but I had to learn quickly. My youngest daughter received one as a gift and since she's only four I had to sit down and learn all about Webkinz World. So even though the Webkinz belongs to my daughter, I feel like it's my world and I am becoming somewhat addicted.

I'm still learning the ropes and helping my daughter learn how to do the daily tasks. Because of her age, I do have to help her with a number of things. She loves going to the wishing well and playing the arcade games.

Webkinz is a virtual world for kids. In order to gain access to the Webkinz community, you need to be a proud owner of a Webkinz pet. You have plenty of different pets to choose from too. There are all kinds of dogs, cats, birds, horses, birds and sos much more. Webkinz are available to purchase online or you can find them in stores in your local community. You can usually find a pretty good selection of Webkinz at Hallmark stores.

Each pet you purchase comes with a unique secret code. You need it to register your pet and gain access to the Webkinz community. Once you register your pet, you have access to the community for one full year. Once the year is up, you can pay a fee to continue using the comunity or you can buy another pet.

Even though I think the Webkinz guide is very resourceful and fun of useful information, I was curious to see what other websites existed to help new Webkinz pet owners like myself get their game on.

I found Webkinz-Cheat very amusing because in one breathe, you are being forewarned about your account being deletied for cheating and in the next breathe you are being told how to cheat. My advice, don't cheat! It's a game! What's the point of the game is you're not playing but cheating.

Wow, didn't know I could whip up some recipes for my pet until I ran across Webkinz Recipes. You can find a nice selection of recipes for your pets here.

Webkinz Insider is an excellent forum for everything and anything about Webkinz.

Of course, don't forget to do a Webkinz search here on Hub Pages. There are quite a few WebKinz hubs here that are jammed pack full of information.

As a member of the Webkinz community, you need to participate in a number of different activities to earn Webkinz coins. Webkinz coins are used to purchase food, toys, clothing and other things to keep your pet happy, healthy and fed. You can play games games in the arcade, find a job in the employment office or answer questions in the Webkinz academy.

Once you have accumulated some Webkinz coins, you can go shopping and buy food, clothing, toys, rooms, furniture, accessories, backyards and things from the curio shop.

Every morning, we log into our account and hit the magical forest first. We are trying to collect all 40 charms in the forest, so we can received some exclusive items.  We have four opportunities to search each day if the timing is right.  We can search every 6 hours.  In order to search for charms, you do need to purchase a charm or you can opt to buy virtual charms like we did in the Webkinz virtual store.

The next thing we do is the Woodland search and then the Pachinko game if we found a seed pod.  If we didn't purchase a Woodland figure, we wouldn't have been able to access this part of Webkinz world.  Next is Alyssa's Star Challenge.  All members can search there once a day.

Our next stop is the curio shop to search for the gem of the day.  We really want to find all the gems and get our Crown of wonders! We can search once a day in any of the five minds.  We also check the curio shop throughout the day hoping for the opportunity to snag one of Arte's rare artifacts.

The employment is our next stop.  There's a number of different jobs to try.  of course, the opportunities are slim if you haven't visited Quizzy's Corner and answered a certain amount of questions.  We recently were able to try the mining game because we have found and collected over 20 different gems.

We do our daily bonus question and our calendar questions next.  On some days, we answer a few of the other questions, we haven't completed yet.  Each one correctly answered is 5 Kincash.  Answer 50 questions correct and you can earn 250 kinzcash in just a few minutes.  The questions are interesting and I will admit I learned a few things along the way.

Next, we visit the daily Kincare section and complete the daily tasks.  That would be the wheel of Wow and the wishing well.  On Mondays, we usually answer the survey question in the newspaper by clicking the contact us button.

Of course, our day wouldn't be complete without some interactive gardening and playing a variety of games in the arcade.  We love racking up the Kinzcash so we can buy lots of cool stuff for our pets.

At 4pm during the week, we check in to see what activites are available for the day.  I love the weekends because the activities start super early and there's a ton of activities to do.

We haven't spent too much time in the Kinzville Academy yet but we had a blast trying out some of classes there.  We plan on going back once we have completed all the questions at Quizzy's Corner.
