PPH causes have been speculated on for a long time. In babies, it is thought that the blood flow does not come through correctly when the baby is born, and the veins and arteries are underdeveloped and problematic. However, there are other individuals who get PPH symptoms and do not have any explanation as to why it has happened to them. The disease is not common, but it does occur, often in individuals between thirty and forty years old. Sometimes, it also happens in older individuals as well. A PPH diagnosis is not a death sentence for all who receive it, but it is progressive, and there is little to do that will treat it. There are ways to ease the PPH symptoms, however, and many doctors can offer help to patients.

Questions are raised when a PPH diagnosis is given. One of these relates to how an individual may have gotten the disease. Unfortunately, there is really no way to tell an individual what caused the PPH symptoms. The PPH causes can be many different issues, but no one really knows what the true causes of PPH. They just know that a PPH diagnosis can be very serious, because it causes damage that often cannot be corrected. Slowly, the blood does not flow properly to the lungs, and this stops individuals from getting adequate oxygen to the rest of the body. PPH symptoms include shortness of breath and chest pain, but there can also be problems related to other organs because of the lack of blood flow.
