Killing Ants Without Pesticides

A mixture of 1/8 teaspoon of powdered borax and sugar will attract and kill ants. Borax in small quantities is harmless to larger animals but in bigger doses it can kill. Be cautious about placement and keep out of reach of pets and children!

Use dry grits to kill ants. The ants eat the grits and when they drink water they expand in their stomachs, killing them.

Thanks for this. We've been tortured with ants for months and they won't go away no matter what we do. Maybe some of these natural alternatives will help!

My next door neighbor used to feed the ants living under a concrete slab in her backyard. She would give them sugar and such things trying to be kind to the ants.

I strongly believe that the King of all the ants now lives next door in some kind of Super Colony.

I will try some of your ideas to see if I can't keep them at bay.

Thanks!
