Nayantara is another import from Kerala. Like Asin, she too is born and brought up in Kerala, India. She born in 8 November 1984 in Tiruvalla, Kerala to an Air Force officer. Her original name is Diana Mariam Kurien. Being a daughter of An Air Force Officer, she studied in different parts of Tamilnadu and Kerala. She completed her degree in BA in Thiruvalla, Kerala.

While in college she was offered to act in Malayalam movie by director Satyan opposite Jayaram in Mansinakkare. Later she did movies opposite Mohanlal, and Mammootty. She also worked in Fazil's Vismayathumbathu.

Following her stunt in Malayalam movies, she did several Tamil and Telugu movies. Movies like Ayya (with Sarath Kumar), Chandramukhi (with Rajni), Vallavan, Ghajini (with Surya), Yogi (telugu). She ruled supreme with movies like Billa (with Ajth) in 2007, Yaaradi Nee Mohini (with Danush) were colossal success.

As Trisha is fading into oblivision, Nayantar is reginning supereme trying to reach the top stop in South Indian Film Industry. With movies Kuselan (released Aug 2008), Aegan, Villu, Sathyam (Aug 2008) all line up for releases, she is definitely going places, commanding high price.

Nayantara was rumoured to involved with Silmbarasan, her co-star of Vallavan. Photo of Nayantara kissing Silambarasan passionately was in circulation. But the pair broke up citing differences soon after release of the movie.
