New Ten-Team Trans-Tasman competition in the offing
New Zealand Herald - A semi-professional netball league featuring five teams from Australia and five from New Zealand is due to start in April 2008. The competition is the result of a deal between netball officials and Sky TV and Fox TV Australia.

Dear Hub Pages, We are students from Blackwood High School in South Australia, Australia. We have been set an assignment by our Netball Teacher, posing the question. "Why do New Zealand players get paid thousands of dollars to play, whereas Australian players get paid much less for a longer period of time? And why is New Zealand netball on prime time television when Australian netball rarely gets covered and if it does, it’s at 12 o’clock at night. Due to limited resources, our teacher suggested that we contact a New Zealand representative who has a broad knowledge of this topic and could assist us with our enquiries regarding the questions asked above. It would be much appreciated if you could find the time to assist us with our research. If you could recommend any internet sites or books, we would be very grateful.
