When it comes to succeeding in the Network Marketing industry it comes down to basically one thing…he or she with the best network marketing lead generation system or tactics wins.
What this means is that you MUST have a system to capture quality targeted leads who want exactly what you’re looking for in a prospect. What it doesn’t mean is that you buy the most leads. Typically this will only result in you getting leads that are months old and not even targeted to your type of opportunity.
In the 25 years I’ve been involved in this industry, it still never ceases to amaze me how many people will just go off and buy a bunch of leads. They’ll buy the leads without even knowing whether or not the leads their spending their hard earned cash for, are even interested in the least bit, about the kind of business they’re involved with in the first place!! What a waste of time and money!!
It’s vital that you’re clear on this definition: What is your targeted market for Network Marketing Lead Generation, because if you’re not, you’re going to start off down the wrong path, and that can be hugely devastating to your network marketing business before it even gets started.
Network marketing lead generation is not a “throw a bunch of mud at the wall and see how much sticks” type of activity. It’s a very precise activity that requires thought and set-up. The good part is however, that once you’ve set it all up, it’s easy to keep going and improving upon.

It’s important that you try to obtain the highest quality leads that you can so that your network marketing lead generation activities aren’t wasted.
Never forget that even though you may set up systems to get leads for free, you’re still spending time on these leads, and we all know that time is money! And as the great Jim Rohn says, “You can always get more money, but you can’t get more time.”
Now with that in mind, here are some very important things to think about, with Network Marketing Lead Generation:
Cost per lead: Cost per lead is something to always stay aware of. The cheaper the lead the more profit you’ll make of course. The problem is, most people never consider this… they just go off headlong and “get a bunch of leads,” because they need “activity.” However it’s also important to remember that if you sponsor correctly, you will make profits for years and years with that person, because it will have been the “right” person.
Information gathering: The more information gathered on a lead means the higher the quality of that lead. Let’s face it; anyone can give you a fake name and email address quite easily. On the opposite side of that same coin however, presents this challenge; sometimes the more info you ask for up front, the more obtrusive it seems to be to the prospect in some cases. This means that your conversion rates will be dramatically less.
Some very simple ways to combat this are:
a) Give away something of very high perceived value so that the prospect is more willing to give you the correct info like phone number, address etc.
b) Only ask for name and email address in the beginning, and with follow up emails to try and obtain more info! That being said it is always recommended to get the phone number up front if possible, because it’s vital to having a successful follow-up process.
The next thing that’s vital, so that you’re network marketing lead generation does not go in vain, is following up with your prospects with email marketing. It is not the ONLY thing that you should do in the follow-up process, but extremely beneficial.
I say this, because some networkers follow up with ONLY emails, and that’s not the best method of operation in my opinion. It doesn’t hurt if you have a correct phone number to give the prospect a call. Of course it’s better and more beneficial if they call you, and believe me, if you have things set up correctly, they WILL call you!!
Now with that said, email marketing can be one of the most useful tools at your disposal, because of its time saving effects. With it you’ll build trust, and essentially a fan base.
What does this do?
This makes people WANT to work with YOU and only YOU, if the information is good enough. It’s vital that you give them highly useful information that they can employ right away, and begin to see results with of some sort.
You also want to make sure that you let them know through your messages that THEY are your biggest concern, not a commission check they may represent, whatever you do, NEVER convey that!! Furthermore, let them know that you’re always there at their disposal to answer their questions.
If they’re confused with your opportunity they’ll go elsewhere… so anticipate their questions and answer them promptly. If they’re confused about who you are, they’ll also go elsewhere… so be transparent and let them know that you’re a real person.
If you do just these things – you’ll find your network marketing lead generation efforts are paying off in droves, even more than you ever expected.
