Buying A New Car
We all know how purchasing a new vehicle can be such a chore. Well, I myself was once a car salesman. Some things I have learned from my career is never to go to on a car lot without doing research on the vehicle you would like to purchase. You will want to make sure you know the exact vehicle you want to purchase and if you can afford it. Second, do all your homework on this particular vehicle. Find out what the base price is and what any additional options you would like are going to cost. You also want to find out what kind of incentives the manufacture might be offering at the time. There are also doc and preparation fees you can bargain with. Now go test drive all the vehicles you are comparing and when you do this, out of respect for the salesman that will probably test drive you, go in the middle of the week and go ahead and let him or her take your information. This way you did not waste his or hers time and yours. By him taking your information, when you go to deal with the Fleet Department he will still get credit for it, and you didn't have to deal with a salesman. So now, you have done all your research and your ready to communicate with the dealer, start calling around to different dealers and speak only with the Fleet Manager. A lot of people are unaware that you can deal with the Fleet Department personally regardless if you are buying multiple vehicles or not. Make sure you do not just go to the lot and ask for the Fleet Manager, nine times out of ten they will not escort you to this department. Instead you might even be told that they work with the Fleet Department. Also, if you prefer not to speak to sales person on the phone to get your quotes, you can do this online. Well, I hope this helps you in your new car purchase. Happy car shopping! I have left a few links that will help you with your research! Also if you have a trade in you will want to take advantage of President Obama's new car incentive Cash For Clunkers.
