iBeg Allows Users To Beg For Cool Prizes
iBeg's unique ‘competitive gifting' application allows Facebook members to competewith each other to win from a constantly changing selection of quality gifts. Competitors create videos of themselves meant to convince other Facebook users to vote for them. Videos, standings, and winners are posted on the iBeg application page for any Facebook user to view.
iBeg adds a different dimension to online gift-giving by introducing a new kind of creativity and fun to voters, competitors, and spectators. iBeg expands the appeal of Facebook by providing a stage on which friends can see each other in a different light, and a medium through which the whole Facebook community can view creative videos and online competitions.
iBeg's video commerce platform is supplied by Qoof, the leading player in the rapidly growing video commerce industry. Using the Qoof Widget, Facebook members competing for iBeg prizes can easily upload videos of themselves begging for votes, while viewers use the Widget to submit their votes. In addition, Qoof's flash-based video widget displays the best places at which to buy contest products.
"Video is the ultimate online sales tool", said Richard Kligman, Founder and CEO of Qoof. "We've combined that concept with the social networking capabilities of Facebook to make a very personalized, unique, entertaining experience. And the gifts are great as well."
To enjoy the iBeg application, choose iBeg from the Facebook applications directory, friends' profiles, or go to www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=9988686213.

Hey hubmarlyn... You're right, there should be a list of cool prizes, but they change often. I guess I could just update it when they do. Right now, it's a wii, an itouch and a laptop computer.
FB users would vote mainly for their friends or for a video they get a kick out of.... Yes, I guess an online talent-show would be a somewhat apt description.
The video-making tips is a great idea! Keep an eye out for a new hub!!
I'm bummed to think this sounds like an ad or press release... once again, keep an eye out for a new hub!
Thanks for the comments... very much appreciated.
is this for real ?

Kinda leaves me wondering a few (key) things: What are some of the "cool prizes" that iBeg users can win? Why would a FB user vote for a particular video--is this a sort of online talent-show competition? Do you have any video-making tips for those who want to win the "top" prizes (whatever those are)? No offense, but overall this article reads not so much like useful info but more like an ad or press release for iBeg and Qoof.
