Welcome to our Hubpage about the second part of the Twilight saga, namely New Moon! Here we'll be taking a lengthy look at the production of the second film based on the vampire romance novels of Stephanie Meyer, which is due to be released in November 2009!Following hot on the heels of the massively successful first Twilight movie, New Moon sees the franchise's fanbase growing ever larger as new fans flock to the books and the first film, discovering the magic of Meyer's characters and the gripping story. This is out own appreciation of the new film, and indeed the second part of the Twilight series.

New Moon, the second novel in the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyers, features a rather more low-key plot than the first installment, but adds new elements and characters that keep the story fresh.

New Moon synopsis

At her 18th birthday party (thrown by edward and her new vampire family), Bella recieves a paper cut. Driven wild by the scent of blood, Japser tries to attack her. Horrified by this incident, Edward takes his vampire clan away from Forks, washington. Depressed, Bella goes to Jacob for comfort. As their friendship develops, Bella discovers that she can hear Edward's voice when in dangerous situations. It is around this time she discovers Jacob is a werewolf. Jacob and his werewolves protect Bella from the vampire Victoria, who is out for revenge after Edward and Bella killed her brother in the first part of The Twilight Saga.

Edward is mistakenly told that Bella has died, and flees to Italy in order to aggravate the Volturi, peace loving vampires who are able to kill him. Bella and Alice go to Italy to try and help Edward, and do so before he is destroyed. The Volturi decree that, as Bella knows about the existence of vampires, she must be killed or become one herself. Once back home, Edward explains why he went to Italy, and bella fogives him. New Moon climaxes with the decision that Bella is to be changed into a vampire, despite Edward's arguments...

The New Moon movie has continued production now, despite the court case surrounding the plagiarism of the original Twilight concept. Robert Pattinson has completed his part as Edward for the film already, due to the Edward character not appearing as much in this installment.

APRIL 2009

New Moon movie put on hold due to plagiarism claims!

In shock news, production on the new Twilight movie, New Moon, has been put on hold as Stephanie Meyer, author of the hugely popular Twilight novels, is being faced with a plagiarism lawsuit. A former room-mate from her college days is clainming that the Twilight story was stolen from a short story she wrote in college when she was spending time around Stephanie. The case was filed last week by Heidi Stanton, who was Meyer's room mate. Work on the New Moonn movie has reportedly been halted until this case can be resolved. Let's hope it doesn't take too long!

MARCH 2009

Preproduction is gearing up on New Moon, and the news is starting to come in.

Kristen Stewart says she is looking forward to playing Bella in all four movies, Drew Barrymore is in talks to direct one of the new films, and Dakota Fanning has been conformed as being part of the New Moon cast!

Twilight fans got their first real taste of the new movie, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, along with a panel featuring the stars themselves.

It was revealed that while Edward doesn’t appear much in the book, the makers of New Moon have managed to get Robert Pattinson more screen time by including Edward as a strange apparition and not just a voice-over.

The footage screened at the event wowed fans, who unanimously loved every frame. None of the footage shown was of key scenes, but it still excited everyone there!
