Welcome to this hub about nose plastic surgery. Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure in which the nose is reshaped. Technological advances mean that plastic surgeons can re-shape almost any part of the body. Three very popular areas are the nose, eyelids and of curse liposuction.

Although called a nose job, the correct term, Rhinoplasty is used by the surgeons and it is where they remove the skin from around the nose so they can re-model the bone and cartilage. There are a few different methods used for nose reshaping. One method involves substituting the nose by removing skin from the back of the arm and suturing it into place and a new nose can be created. If there is serious damage to the nose cartilage then Rhinoplasty is considered and used for re-constructive surgery.

A survey was carried out on cosmetic surgery in 2005 and the top five procedures carried out on men were nose re-shaping, liposuction, hair transplant, eyelid surgery and breast reduction. Whether your nose was broken and left crooked, or you just aren't happy with the way your nose is, you can safely and now realistically alter the way that it looks. Men are quickly catching women up with the number and range of cosmetic procedures available to them.

However, if you are considering a nose plastic surgery you should ensure that your surgeon is a certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and that he has good aesthetic abilities. In addition, the Rhinoplasty procedure should be performed with minimal surgical trauma to the nose, with no external incisions and match and blend all facial features to look very natural and un-operated. Additional points to consider are to reduce the discomfort and pain the patient may experience and that the whole procedure is carried out in the best safety and hygiene conditions.

Many teenagers are also having work done on their noses or breasts to make themselves look more desirable. Using Rhinoplasty though, it is possible to remove and lumps your nose may have, decrease its length or sometimes increasing it as well as change the angle if necessary.

Sometimes to alter how your nose and jaw looks all you have to do is re-shape your chin. A receding chin puts greater emphasis on your other features, in particular the nose which may already be large. In fact, chin and nose surgeries are commonly performed in a complimentary fashion, in order to balance the patient's features, and release their true beauty.

Despite this, it is always worth remembering that facial re-construction, whether a small nose job or a full face lift, might not necessarily make you a more beautiful person or make people change they way they treat you. We each see ourselves in a particular way and although this is not a true image, many people feel that by reducing or increasing the size of their nose (whether necessary or not) it will make tem more attractive. In other cases where there is a medical reason like a broke nose for example, the cartilage may be causing breathing difficulties. For many people, having their nose re-shaped has definite health benefits as well as enhancing their appearance.
