If you want to pursue this enjoyable career that guarantees a better future why not obtain a BA interior design degree and move with the high flyers in the design world.

OBTAIN BA INTERIOR DESIGN BY ATTENDING ONLINE INTERIOR DESIGN CLASSES

The BA Interior Design course can be taken after the successful completion of the:

  • HND in Interior Design

All these 3 stages of the interior design study can be taken at online interior design classes if you find it inconvenient to attend an on-campus institution. You can study in your own time, at your own pace and your study course will include everything you will learn, as if you were at college.

BUILD UP ON YOUR HND

The BA interior design course builds up on the progress made by graduates of HND in interior design.

In some colleges, there must be a minimum grade of merit that must be attained to be eligible for the BA program. In the United Kingdom, a student must achieve 360 credits, and as the HND is rated as 240 credits, it already forms part of the 3 year BA interior design course,

Topics covered are mainly as follows:

  • CAD (computer aided designs)
  • Dissertation
  • Methodology
  • Final Major project

The credit value of all the topics above will be 120 credits.

CAD (COMPUTER AIDED DESIGNS)

The ability to use the CAD software has now become a standard in producing interior design drawings.

The use of this software in the BA interior design program has become of considerable importance to interior designers and students taking online interior design classes.  You may choose from one of the learning options offered by online colleges, and will be provided with a full working version of the software.

There are usually a couple of options available, and you are allowed to decide as to which software package will suit your needs and those of your clients, most.

  • AutoCAD

A standard software, AutoCAD is  used by many architectural and major interior design firms.

Classes on this topic enables the online student to be able to fully integrate CAD into the design process whilst producing 2D and 3D drawings and presentations. When this class is successfully completed, you will be able to produce CAD drawings to highly professional standards.

  • ArchiCAD

The aim of this class is to gain sufficient skills and ability using ArchiCAD software . On completion of this course, students will be able to import, modify and produce CAD drawings and 3D digital visual tours to high interior design professional standards.

DISSERTATION

Develop research skills in both the interior design subject, as well as subjects that may be related to art and history.

You will be made to do detailed exploration and research on any subject within the field that is of particular interest to you. Your thinking, analytical and writing skills will be fully developed after completion of this course in the BA interior design study.

This BA interior design topic will enable you demonstrate your ability to conduct an independent and detailed research, and you will develop the ability to defend your findings.

METHODOLOGY

Learning how to meticulously plan and document all aspects of design and its progressive stages, and how to work and manage time efficiently and more effectively.

The purpose of this topic is to provide a framework within which you may structure your individual approach to each and every project you will handle in the interior design during your study, and in the outside world.

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

By the time you get to this stage of your BA interior design study, you will find that it's now the time to build on what you've learnt and comfortably use all the design skills you've gained along the way throughout your course study. You should now be able to manage a project from start to finish. At  this stage you may decide to pursue a specialist area of interior design of your choice.

You will be required to set your own schedule for completing various key stages of the final major project of the BA interior design study. Then you will be assessed on your interior design ability and the discipline to manage your project professionally keeping to deadlines.

This project prepares you for your final entry into the high flying career of the interior design industry.

COURSE DURATION

You will be permitted up to 3 years to complete online interior design classes, although it can be completed in as little as 12 months if you diligently and consistently allocate 25 hours a week to study.

However, allowing approximately 10 hours a week, you can complete the course in the 3 year time frame effortlessly.

CONCLUSION

Interior design is a fun and exciting profession, so be well aware that study in the general sense doesn't apply to these assignments.

Most works are very practical and even though you'll need great commitment, there is the excitement factor which you can't afford to miss.

And to top it all, you will discover that you will have great pride and a sense of accomplishment pursuing this course.
