If you need to monitor your blood pressure at home on a regular basis, the Omron 711 blood pressure monitor is a popular choice for automatic home blood pressure cuffs.

Since the Omron Hem-711 monitor is automatic, you don't need to inflate it yourself. This makes it much easier to take your own blood pressure accurately at home. It also has a good sized screen so you can see the read-outs for your systolic and diastolic results and your pulse rate easily.

The HEM-711DLX Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor comes with what Omron calls the Comfit Cuff. Basically it is a preformed cuff that's easy to wrap around your upper arm and it is designed to fit both average and large-sized arms (up to 17 inches around). Since I'm a bit larger, that's a big help.

The other feature that comes with pretty much all Omron automatic blood pressure monitors is Intellisense. This means that the monitor keeps track of what your pressure has been over the past few readings and then only inflates the cuff as much as necessary. This means that you won't feel like all the circulation in your arm is being cut off. Very nice!

Some more features that I like are that it saves the last 60 readings, so I can see how my blood pressure is remaining steady over a longer period of time, and it comes with an AC adapter, which means not having to worry about batteries dying. It also has an irregular heart beat indicator which is something that I need to watch out for because of certain medication that I take.

Omron has two different 711 blood pressure monitors. One comes with the Comfit Cuff and one doesn't.
