They want weight loss supplements to help them achieve the goal of a perfect body shape and weight, since they are finding it hard to achieve the targeted weight naturally.

Many people turn to weight loss supplements after a few months of effort in the gym. They do not find that they are getting slimmer despite their efforts in the gym.

Some people believe, or want to believe, the unrealistic promises of weight loss supplements. They prefer to believe that weight loss is simply a matter of consuming enough weight loss supplements.

Some people buy weight loss supplements due to the advertising effort by the manufacturers. They do not mind spending money on weight loss supplements for a chance to look like their idols.

With the advance of technology, many people find it easy to buy weight loss supplements online. Even when the weight loss supplements are banned in the country, they are able to purchase the weight loss supplements through Internet.


When people believe in the “herbal weight loss supplements” without checking the ingredients, they are putting their lives at risk. Some cheap “herbal weight loss supplements” are manufactured by greedy businesspersons in China and are not tested or approved for sales.

The Food and Drug Administration has successfully banned many illegal weight loss supplements. However, many weight loss supplements are available online. The marketers do not highlight the fact that weight loss supplements are banned. They exaggerate on the effect of the weight loss supplements.

Some of these illegal weight loss supplements are able to help consumers lose weight. However, the side effects include heart and digestive problems, insomnia, headaches, and even psychological side effects. In extreme cases, people died from weight loss supplements.

One common claim by manufacturers of weight loss supplements is that the weight loss supplements contain EGCG. EGCG is a phytochemical ingredient found in green tea.

The manufacturers of weight loss supplements claim that EGCG helps to speed up metabolism. You may wonder why anyone wants to spend money to buy weight loss supplements when they can buy green tea.

Even though some studies mentioned that EGCG could slightly increase the potential to burn calories. Many manufacturers over-emphasize the claim in weight loss supplements advertisements. It is cheaper to drink green tea than to buy expensive weight loss supplements.

Some weight loss supplements serve to prevent the absorption of carbohydrates. However, the effect of using weight loss supplements to prevent fat absorption is debatable. The ingredients in weight loss supplements could a few months for men to lose just a pound of body fat. Some women do not find that fat loss occurs even though they take the weight loss supplements regularly.


A few weight loss supplements claim to curb appetite so that people do not feel hungry. The effect of weight loss supplements is also debatable. Many people over-eat, not because they are hungry, due to the sight and smell of their favorite food.

It is true that weight loss supplements do help people lose weight. However, weight loss supplements must be part of the overall weight loss program. You will not find weight loss supplements effective if you do not put in an effort to exercise.

You should treat weight loss supplements as just a supplement. You should not over-rely on weight loss supplements, and view weight loss supplements as miracle pills.

Weight loss supplements are effective only when you put in an effort to have a balanced diet, do brisk walking, go to the gym and climb more stairs.
