It could be that my experience was different because I'm a guy, but the ladies out there doing online dating were flakes back when I was doing it. Or maybe I was a huge flake magnet. Or maybe it was because I only ever did the free services. I was stood up so many times. So many of the ladies liked to project this aura of being adventurous and interesting when maybe in reality they were homebodies who just wanted to sit at home and watch movies with their cat.

If you're really into that then just let us know!

I'm not Ugly (As Far as I Know)

And before all of you think that the ladies actually got there early and then bailed when I showed up because I fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch, I should tell you that I may not be the best looking guy on the planet, but I haven't had any of my lady-friends complain about my looks.

Can you tell I have had some bad experiences? I just won't do it anymore.

Creepy on Facebook

The other thing that happens online that I think is really creepy is that you'll have people you don't know ask to be your friend on Facebook. Who are these ladies who send Facebook friend invitations to men in their same zip code? I bet this happens to women all the time, but I was surprised at how many times it's happened to me, being a guy and all. And before you think I'm bragging I'll say that in the last year it has maybe happened twice that I can remember. And frankly I find that surprising. If I didn't think it was creepy, and I wasn't already taken, Facebook might be a decent booty call.

Creepy on Craigslist

I heard somewhere else that there's some kind of word you can put in a Craig's List posting that means you're looking to score. I forget what the word was, though. It was something like "Looking for TENDERNESS" or something.

Back to the Flakes

So yeah, online dating. You find some profiles you like. You email them. A few email you back. You email them again. They say stuff. You day stuff. You arrange to meet, and then they flake. Hey Hey. Well I hope it works for somebody, because there are some other somebodies who are making a heck of a lot of money off of all you all.
