I think this is a nice and well comfprtable way to earn a degree but I guess nothing still beats the experience of going to school regularly and meeting new friends, etc.
There are so many, many online programs now. While my current area of interest is online high schools (see my hubs), at one point, I was the co-author of Bears' Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning. It is still considered the best source for distance learning programs.
This is really good for people that wants to get online degree, but I still feels that you need to experience the campus life to really have the feel of getting a degree...
Though distance learning has been around for a long time, the internet has made the process far easier. Had it been available on the net during my university days, I certainly would've used it.
Obtaining an online degree may be good for those wh have busy schedules, but I would still rather go to an actual lecture hall.
Online degree could be flourishing but I was just wondering if this will not be discriminated when it comes to employment. Of course this could work for some and not for others but this is a great concept to give opportunities to others who cannot make it to university for one reason or another.
I had the pleasure of being a tutor of some students doing an online degree. We used to communicate by email, and sometimes by phone. Most of them did very well in their studies.
My MBA was part online and part offline. I really loved how they structured the program. Having an online part was really helpful for people like me going to night school. I would definitely look into a completely online program if I ever needed another degree!
I have taken quite a few online classes through my college and I love it. It really allows me to work at my best, which isn't early in the morning when most classes are offered. I really enjoyed my online college experience.

This is the first time I heard about this.. Getting a degree online is pretty new and strange to me. I am really wondering if it is as effective as the hands on type.
