Add Some Personality to Your Online Store
58Stand Out
The most successful online stores are those that get a lot of repeat and/or word of mouth (forwarded to a friend) business. It's not just prices that make people remember your website, it also has a lot to do with how much they like your site. It's easy to make your store stand out from not just your competitors but other sites in general.
Make Them Remember You
There are a lot of sites out there and not many of them are memorable. The average website isn't much more than a block with a bunch of smaller blocks inside it. There is nothing necessarily wrong with that it's just that most of those smaller blocks are bland and don't inspire the visitor to take special note. What you want to do engage the visitor and try to make them feel as if they are in an environment instead of on a web page.
A lot of unique 'personality' can easily be achieved using images. Designing your own graphics is one of the best ways to differentiate yourself from the pack. Think of your competitors. Most of them probably use the images they get from their supplier and maybe have a custom logo, apart from that your average website doesn't do a whole lot with graphics. So you should. Great graphics for your lowest priced items, create graphics for your customer support, phone number, and live chat links. Create graphics of your products that look like magazine ads for your home page. Visitors will notice.
People Like People
To take adding personality a step further, add people to your website. People like looking at other people, it's in our nature. So add a face to your contact us graphic. Bring further attention to your low price guarantee by adding a very happy person to the graphic. Use a person as a mascot for your store like I do in my billiard supplies and bar stools store, Game Room Pimps.
Mascots are a fantastic way to make people remember your site and want to pass it on to others. On both my tapestries and wall decor store and my sports merchandise store I use a mascot in a position of authority. JoAnn is my tapestry store mascot, she is the design expert and appears on the page with a caption stating her position. She is memorable and helps my tapestry site stay in my customer's minds so when they want to buy another tapestry they remember my site. This keeps them from doing a Google search and seeing all my competitors again too.

Nice and valiable info audroits always best to remember that websites are forhuman beings not machines
I would also say the overall image of your web site, how professional and good looking it is can play a big part as well. People like to feel safe & secure when buying products online and a nice web site gives them that trust feeling they want.
