78Outdoor Halloween Decorations Props
No matter how great we do our indoor Halloween decorations, there's just something about doing the outdoor Halloween decorations that really make Halloween standout, as the time of the year adds to the ambiance, and the colorful fall colors and scary characters make it a lot of fun.
Outdoor Halloween decorations are really great to work with, as almost anything outdoors is available as a prop, and it seems just about anything can work, as you'll find out in some of these photos.
What's so enjoyable about the fall and Halloween seasons are the colors that mesh so well together, as the orange pumpkins match a lot of the fall leave colors, and blended together always form a fantastic mosaic and background to insert our various outdoor characters to delight or give a fright to those passing by and viewing.
So the witches, skeletons, zombies, or whatever scary characters you want to add are accentuated by the cooperation of the fall season which adds its rich colors to aid us in our outdoor Halloween decorations.
Here are a number of Halloween yard decoration photos to give you some ideas to draw from and create you own from.
Outdoor Entryway Halloween Decorations
The general outdoor Halloween decor theme here, while very traditional, always works, and for good reason - it looks great, and really fits in with the season.
Simply offsetting the pumpkins going up the stairs and including the black cat figures add a nice touch, and of course the ghost hanging in the door is there to greet any visitor looking for candy.
The seasonal flowers also add to the overall scenario, and the wrapped stair handles look good going up.
Friendly Frankenstein Outdoor Halloween Decoration
This really was fun to me because he is such a friendly Frankenstein, and surely isn't about to scare anybody viewing him, probably not even the crows.

Outdoor Halloween Skeleton Pirates
I'm not sure if this was an attempt to copy some of the Pirates of the Caribbean, but it is a great scene of the skeleton pirates seeming to have one of their own held in the ground, or he wasn't able to come out like they seem to be.
Anyone seeing this would really have a fun time looking at it.
Dark Outdoor Halloween Figures
Contrary to some of the more playful outdoors Halloween decor we've been looking at, these guys are definitely more sinister and keeping with the scary side of the Halloween experience.
That clown really has an evil look, and the hunchback and his axe don't look too friendly either. And what looks like a woman with her head off ready to talk to you could be very unsettling, especially if you had a speaker nearby doing some talking through him.
Outdoor Halloween Decor with a little of everything
At first glance this looks a little boring, but when you start to search through the photo, there's a lot of interesting things to discover, and really a lot of stuff in a small space, showing you don' t have to have an extended or large yard or area to put together a nice outdoor Halloween scene.
An outdoor Halloween scene that has a little bit of everything
Another simple but effective outdoor Halloween scene
Here we have a good example of taking what you have and working with it. Who would have thought that a flamingo would be part of a Halloween decoration, but there you have it, and it doesn't seem wrong.
That's why it's so fun taking what you have and adding a few things to it to make great and fun Halloween statements.
Witch Halloween Decoration running into tree
i'm sure most of us have seen some form of the witch flying into a tree, but it's always a hoot to see it, and it always gives me a chuckle.
I wonder if Harry Potter ever has these types of troubles?
How about those shoes? Doesn't look like those you see in the Wizard of Oz.
Wheelbarrow Halloween outdoor prop
Here's another good example of taking a product most of us have around the house and creatively using it as an outdoor Halloween decoration.
And when you think of the wheelbarrow itself, you can see it could be used for a huge variety of themes connected to Halloween. Let those creative juices flow and you'll come up with a lot of great ideas.
Outdoor Halloween Decorations on the road
Who says you have to be at home or stationary to enjoy decorating for Halloween. Here's a great example of setting up a cool outdoor Halloween scene while traveling.

Halloween skull on metal frame
In this last outdoor Halloween decoration photo, I again wanted to show how something as simple as this metal frame can be shaped and have an object like the skull added to make a very cool decoration.
While I'm not sure, it looks like it's a spider with a skull for a head walking around. All that from a simple object and good idea.
Outdoors Halloween Decorations Ideas
You should get dozens of ideas from these photos which will help you create a great outdoor scene for your neighbors and passerbys to enjoy. And those trick or treaters will have a good time deciding whether it's safe to come into your scary yard to secure their candy.

I love that Witch on the hydro pole! I saw that while driving to a friends house and it really made me swerve a bit.
ON the safety side of things I guess it should be mentioned to stay away from open flames in decorations. That is a real pity because I think that nothing beats real candlelight and bonfires, but times have changed.
I've been reading dozens of Hubs the past few day to be sure I'm coing up with fresh and new approaches, and wow, this Hub is really fun! Easy easy ways to decorate outdoors, I do decorate every year but some of your inspirations are so easy, why do I work so hard when simple can be so very cute, spooky or scary! This is a keeper Barnacle Bill, but seriously, you are a girl right? ;)

Great Hub... Your decorations look to be a touch tamer than mine, but your neighbors probably still talk to you though. Check out my Halloween hub.
