The first step...prioritize
First, evaluate your business and see what sucks up most of your time. As humans, we naturally gravitate toward the one or two we're most comfortable with and then do the others only when we have to. For example, if you cringe every time you have to pay bills or look at the checkbook, you're probably not running your finances as effectively as someone that enjoys doing bookkeeping would. Outsource what you don't enjoy or are not good at.
Now, prioritize this list by the amount of time the activity takes you every week or month. Put the most time consuming activity at the top and the least time consuming one at the bottom. This will show you where you're wasting your valuable time every month doing things that you don't enjoy doing or aren't efficient at. Begin by outsourcing these areas first.
Next, take action...wisely
So now that you know what to outsource, how do you outsource these drains on your business? Simply divide the activities up into logical, manageable pieces and outsource them one by one as you have money.
For example, if you've chosen advertising as what you want to outsource, take all the different avenues you use to market and begin by outsourcing the one that will make the biggest difference in your weekly routine. There are dozens of companies on the Internet that can connect you with businesses or individuals offering contract or freelance at very reasonable rates. And they will be glad to take just a piece of your advertising (say your SEO or PPC) plan, or your entire advertising plan off your hands so you can focus on other things.
