64Google! Google! Google! Everybody uses internet knows Google. Google began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page. Then he was a Ph.D. student at Stanford University. The word Google came from the word “googol” a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google.com registered as a domain in 15 September 1997.
The Google website is originally hosted on Stanford University servers.
In December 1998 Google undergoes a redesign and moves off of Stanford’s servers.
